Nice. I removed the lawn-mower parts from my '93 John Deere, ripped it around the yard like an ATV for a bit, then attached the snow-blower parts, although I'm not sure I'll need them for a few months, based on the amount of snow we have (none).
Idk, we got snow across the lake, I think it will be in your future aswell Also gotta cut out a new sidecover gasket for the Suzuki, i broke the original and now it pissed all the oil out
Oh! this is my kinda thread. Very cool. I love to have stuff like this. I used to have a Suzuki LT250R. Great quad, Suzuki basically invented the modern quad during that era. they made some beautiful quads too, I think the LT250R is easily the greatest looking quad ever made. I live in the city though so it's kind of a pain, sport quads just don't really make sense to me in the city, I know people like their street banshees and stuff but if i'm gonna be on 4 wheels on the street i'd rather be on a go kart. I think a utility quad in the city would be great though so I could haul home the occasional CRT on the side of the road or other useless junk I want. I ended up finding a 1982 Suzuki RS175 as a replacement. Was missing a flywheel and stator and someone offered me an entire bottom end so I went ahead and got it. Worth it because the RS175s are pretty rare, and a new aftermarket magneto assembly without lighting would still run me about $250. I think it's something fun that I'll be able to take more comfortably on the street from time to time and out to some trails when i get the chance. I'll post some photos soon.
Where'd the LT250R go? Not for any reason, its just my dream atv... But I do agree Suzuki did create the mold for modern ATVs with the LT125 in '84 (or '83 cant remember off the top of my head) then my quad (the LT250EF) kinda made the utility segment and the 250R made the modern race ATV a thing Update on the Suzuki: Unstuck the valve adjusters and made proper valve lash adjustments
Sold it to some guy who takes em up to oregon. Thankfully it didn't go to some kid who's gonna wheelie it til it blows up from lack of proper lubrication. I slept all day so I didn't get any photos. Someday One day.
Glad that you sold it to someone responsable Sold my old Go-Kart frame a few months ago, a dad and his kid came and bought it, they talked about actually using it. Love when that happens, seeing the younger generation get into engines as much as i am
my go kart frame has been sitting against the wall for months. the original motor mount was welded on and was welded on lopsided so i cut it off with the intent to get one of the proper clamp mounts that they use on racing karts. it's like 60 bucks. never made the investment, lol.
Mine had an old Robin Subaru engine, 126cc and was OHC. Funky little engine, I kept that off the frame along with the CVT I wanna put the CVT on my Coleman CT200, just gotta get to it
I had a 212 i built for it, it's been jumping around from one bike to another as i pulled it to use on a bike "temporarily" when i was rebuilding my kart. but haven't really found a frame I can make look good as I want it to. I had a CT200U-EX but I sold it. the EX is a great looking bike, I'd like to get another. The CVTs make a huge difference on big tire bikes. would Recommend.
Some “problems” with this are a broken taillight lens, torn decal, and missing buckles on the rear cargo box. The snowplow was attached for no reason, as we’ve had no reason to use it at all this year. I also have a cab for it, but I rarely put it on.
I mean, it’s better to not have to use it than not being able to use it. One year here we couldn’t use our snowblower because we got 6 feet of snow in one night
I honestly don't think that's ever happened in the last 50 years where I live, and that's why every ATV we have is RWD lol Anyways got the rear axle in the Suzuki, but was too cold to button up the rear end and let it stand on its own for the first time in... oh God, 8 months (the frame swap was supposed to take 2 weeks) The goal I had for the Suzuki is to have it emerge from the garage under its own power, but unfortunately, it seems it needs to be towed over to my neighbors to get the el stucko side cover off (thank God for my neighbors, 2 bought side-by-sides this summer while the one saving my ass is an engine nerd like myself)
