For fuck sake, These cars are being destroyed left right and Center. I hope that falcon gets fixed because in at least 1 year it won't be able to be replaced.
Smooth running too whereas most american v6s are a 90 degree v which leads to real rough running, 120 degree v6 is just as smooth as i6 in power deliver but has a slight forward/back rocking motion and the 60 v6 is also smooth in power delivery but the forward/back rocking is more severe. I6 and boxer 6 both have no rocking motion and smooth power delivery. Its just 1 is really long and tall while the other is really wide and a tiny bit more mechanically complex (and issue effecting v designs too). Still, there are reasons for all 3.
statutory right off Chassis rails bent bad fire wall bad. . It was no ones fault Just one of those things . Next car will be a camry or Subaru. And after i get the new i will save up for a classic xf falcon And the 2nd car was a xr6 fg Two falcons died Like to think Ford for saving my life. And letting me walk away. R.I.P my pride and joy. (the falcon ) --/6/04- 23/11/14. Gone but never forgotten.
It's like haveing my ball's smashed. Am missable. 2nd worse day of my life. After my mum passing away. But at least we are all ok and not dead. And her xr6 May be a repairable right off.
Well if it's a statutory right off ( i find out tomorrow ) At least her parts will live on. So in a way she lives on. And helps keep more ba/bf falcons on the road
Do what we did with the monaro, Buy it back from the insurance company. if the front member bar and radiator support is damaged they will write it off
Sold it ages ago, I was like 9 when we had it... Don't worry about it though I'm making a Torana and monaro for .drive
For over 3 decades Holden & Ford have not only battled on the track but also in our hearts. They have become national icons, pride & joys and just overall legendary vehicles. But the glory days have all but gone, its time to say our final goodbyes to our much loved cars and hope that someday, somehow, they will rise back up. Here we have the final Australian built Holden & Ford models, the VF Commodore & FGX Falcon. They've truly saved the best for last. RIP - - - Updated - - - On a lighter note, today is the 66th Birthday of Australia's first car! The 1948 Holden 48-215!
It has the frame and running gear from this (imported from here) And it is the only vehicle made and produced in New Zeland ever production started in 1966
