Released Nürburgring (Nordschleife + GP-Strecke)

    Following the trend of my other ports, I've started moving them here as some people have issues with my original file host. Although I said it was a bit too big to upload before, I managed to squeeze it down to just below the upload limit!



    Featuring the original laser scanned road surface from Assetto Corsa, PBR materials, AI Support, and Time Trials.

    • v2 hotfix - info.json updated to reflect current date
    • Collision holes all along Döttinger Höhe (long back straight) road edge have been fixed
    • Fixed textures of off-track buildings
    • Replaced static Touristenfahrten entry gate meshes with animated meshes that open automatically when you get close to them:
      beamngNordsUpdateGates.gif
    • Refuelling locations added in T13 pit area and GP-Strecke pit lane
    • Distant treeline billboard material is now correctly set to double-sided
    • Default Grass groundmodel replaced with a custom shallower groundmodel to prevent very low cars (e.g. Carbonworks F4) from getting beached and to improve grip loss
    • Adjusted multilayer detail texture scales to be a bit more varied
    • Fixed flickering visible AI line in some parts of the track

    • Black stripes in grass fixed. Appears to be a changed behavior of detail normal textures in 0.28 but doesn't affect my other maps as far as I know.

    • Bloom fix. A script is now included to automatically increase the bloom threshold making it less blown out.
    • Lighting adjustments: Sun brightness has been reduced slightly. New static cubemaps.

    • AI hotfix. AI should no longer stop and try to turn around near the beginning of Döttinger Höhe.

    • Significant performance optimizations recommended by Olrosse
    • More materials converted to multilayer PBR like grass
    • Fixed some collision issues at Brünnchen reported by Yu and Juan Ordóñez Galbán
    • Fixed collision materials of kerbs and Karussells
    • Brand new lighting and shadow settings
    • AI paths for the Nordschleife loop only - traffic can now be spawned
    • Added default German license plate

    • Fixed disappearing shadows in first person camera in certain FOVs and aspect ratios
    • Fixed "ghostly" 3D-looking car shadows

    • Added missing objects like trees and Touristenfahrten area
    • Added Grand Prix track
    • Shortened initial loading times by including cached DAE files
    • Updated important materials to PBR (trees, grass, and other less important objects have not been updated to PBR)
    • Added time trial layouts for the 24h combined, touristenfahrten, and grand prix layouts
    • New lighting to suit new PBR materials

    As for the file size, I think it's possible to bypass it if you contact the moderators and they upload the file for you.

    I have experienced tire puncture at the beginning of the stretch, on the left, going fast.
    It's still a great mod!

    you have to get the user files open when you click the beam icon
    you can also use youtube

    I am loving this map! the only problem I am having is that on the first chicane, I believe it's called Castrol-S, the Ai is going straight and running into the barrier across the sand trap instead of slowing down and turning. But, other than that I love this map!

    You have to browse local files for BeamNG in steam (right-click on the name and click browse local files). Next go to content and click levels, this will pull up all of the maps in BeamNG that you have currently. Next, download this mod, after it is downloaded, go to your downloads and drag the new map file to the empty space on the right of the folder and it will sort itself manually.

    Good lord, never put your mods in local files. You have the mods folder for this lol. If you can't find it, you can open it directly from mods menu in-game.

    That is an inherent BeamNG Bug for AI: they have no awareness of elevation, bumps and camber. So a downhill braking zone is just what you don´t need. With the traffic UI you can lower the risk (for racecars I think 0.8 will be enough).

    Mods go in the "mods" folder, the easiest way to access this is by opening the launcher and selecting "manage user folder".
    As @ghost_cauli said, you shouldn't put mods in BeamNG's local directory.

    I see that there is a BeaMP version of the nurburgring which has rain, will you eventually add rain + rainy surfaces?

    I was having a great time with the map until the latest beam update, the time trails have disappeared for me. Is there a way for me to fix this issue or will the mod just need updating? I no longer have any Points of interest.
