    when using vulcan, fps drops to 9 when with direct3d 66 68 on the Wcusa card

    For me this may be the release where I switch over to Vulkan fully. Gives me 20% more frames over DX11 from a quick test. Finally 8GB VRAM aren't a roadblock, thanks for your optimization work!

    BeamNG.drive 0.31.0.0 0xC0000374 STATUS_HEAP_CORRUPTION

    This is on version 0.31 on Iris XE integrated graphics. I am aware that it is somewhat buggy on Intel integrated graphics, but it used to at least start somewhat.

    Hardware:
    i5-1135G7
    Iris XE 80 EU on the 31.0.101.5074 drivers (also occured on older drivers from June)
    32 GB of RAM
    I did clear my cache

    Congrats) Just have to wait for HDR support to play vulkan mode comfortably, developers please, that's all I'm asking for

    That and the intel section, HD 500 only supports vulkan on Linux, not Windows.

    AutoHDR works in Vulkan if you use DXGI Swapchain in driver settings :)

    Unfortunately, Intel GPUs are broken at this moment in Vulkan mode, we are working on it :oops:
    You are not right, Intel HD 500 series supports Vulkan on Windows if you use the latest drivers from Intel

    It might just be for compute then, because another set of software I use and support that has vulkan compute is very hit or miss on HD 500 graphics, and usually I suggest updating their GPU drivers when seeing it.

    But good to know that it does work on Windows now.
    Im also surprised it stopped working now, I wonder what changed between .30 and .31 as it at least somewhat ran

    I would like to know what it is) if it works, then I will stop talking about HDR mode for a long time). How to enable it, is there any instruction? Where to go "nvidia"? in version 0.30 you didn't tell me anything like that, you said "auto hdr" only works in "dx" mode

    Vulkan has never worked for me. It freezes when I begin to load a map, and I am forced to restart the game. I don't have Intel.

    In case of NVIDIA gpu you need to change the setting in control panel if you have a driver newer than a certain version


    If you are using AMD Card, make sure to update drivers to 23.12.1 or higher

    Launch the game with Vulkan still not letting me to lower the resolution from 1080p, in DX11 i can

    Current Vulkan implementation works always in borderless mode even in fullscreen so its always uses OS resolution. For a workaround, you can lower screen resolution in Windows settings.

    We are looking into adding exclusive fullscreen extension tho ;)

    So with 0.31, I've definitely noticed a difference, and Vulkan runs way more smoothly and reliably! I have, however, noticed that my fps is still slightly worse on Vulkan, while my CPU, GPU, and VRAM are all not being fully utilized, compared to DirectX. In DirectX, my GPU is at 100%, and I get around 100 FPS on Utah, but on Vulkan, with only 20%-30% GPU usage, and ~2.2GB/4GB VRAM usage, I get around 10 FPS less (this is on Low-Mid graphics quality). Now, really anything above 60 FPS I'm happy with, but it would be nice to be able to max out at a higher FPS if my system's resources can handle it. :)

    when using vulcan on a wcusa map, my performance drops to 9 frames per second when in direct3d 66 - 68.

    Vulkan still seems to not be able to initialise for me, just stuck in background with around 10% CPU usage
    On a Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3 15ARH05
    Ryzen 5 4600H
    GTX 1650
    32GB RAM

    on wcusa 9 fps on utah 80 fps without traffic and 22 with traffic,when on dx11 68 on wsusa and 80 on utah 40 50 with traffic
