Hello Race Fans! Have you ever wondered what it would be like to build your own car and race it? Do you feel like you're moments away from death or glory while jumping a Cherrier? Are you the kind of person that enjoys designing a car to an exacting list of specifications? Then grab your keys and lets go for a (BeamNG.)drive. Here at The SBRL we have been running racing seasons with this philosophy and now after 2 years of honing our formula we're posting on the BeamNG forums about it! We are currently 75% of the way through our third season, a bespoke technical category for the series featuring our patented "GT3.1" specification which took over from the WTCR inspired specification we had used in the previous 2 seasons. Our calendars feature some of the best mod tracks available for BeamNG from around the world such as Knockhill ported for Beam by our own Ollie and of course the cars we named the series after, because what is "S#!TBOX" but a term of endearment. We are currently looking into the possibility of running a rally championship exactly as one would be ran IRL, with service areas, passenger co-drivers, and even live coverage as one might see done for WRC or Rally.tv In the past we have produced coverage of our MP races and been suprised not only by how close the racing can get; even in BeamNG rubbin' is racin', but also by how well the game handles sim racing events as a whole. We're hoping to expand the series participation by reaching other likeminded racers or constructors and that's where you come in. The SBRL is an open series for any new competitor, costs nothing to enter, and aims to scratch the racing itch so many of us have in the game so many of us love; if that sounds good to you then you're in the right place. Feel free to contact me directly here via DM or comment on this thread to receive an invitation to the series and we hope to see some new helmets on the grid soon! --- Post updated --- The Promo mp4 is from our 1st TCR season last year. It gives a good feel for the series as a whole, but it is outdated just FYI.
This season was a lot of fun with multiple cars and drivers having close competition. I'm even more excited for what next season will bring!
