Not quite. The rear expansions are the same top and bottom, but they are ever so slightly different lengths in between the rear axles and the fuel tanks. If you get a ruler or some fingers, you can measure between the two.
So this basically confirms that we're getting more than just a regular hauler truck in a few length variants, noted.
Only the top 2 rows have 5th wheels, so judging by the teaser we still won't have a custom stretched big rig. I would think it would be a fairly easy addition given that all these frames are already in game though.
they all appear to have the same engine but I am hoping that if this is the case it has lots of options
My Goodness, the T-Series is getting a remastering! Take that, Pewdiepie! And 48 different chassis types and wheel combos? That's nuts! But what I noticed is the smallest of the lot, the stubby one, at the upper right corner. Maybe the D-Series on T-Series frame is getting prepared? I'd love to see it getting officially included in BeamNG!
A good teaser! A lot could be speculated, as to why we need so many chassis options, so here are my own thoughts: 1. Due to the amount of chassis types, I believe that we have some chance of seeing a cab-over design for the T-series, which was a quite common thing for American semi-trucks before the 1990s. 2. A bunch of lengthy chassis types could be hinting towards various possibilities, such as garbage trucks, fire engines, tow-trucks and perhaps, a truck-based RV (see Fleetwood Discovery). The first two options would benefit a lot with having a cab-over design, which is common for such kind of vehicles. 3. There is a distinct possibility that it might also include various airport vehicles, where shorter chassis could be more appropriate. 4. Military versions are also possible, seeing that Stambecco had a couple military options.
YEES, Yes, Yes. Here it comes! And soo much more than I expected different upfits, eg. a dump truck can't have overhang If you need different lenghts the rear of a truck is easier to scale than the whole truck since you don't need to touch the drivetrain. No EU style cab overs, those have the ladder inbetween the front wheel and the bumber, none of the variants have space for that. But the right half appear to be US style cab overs, you climb the wheel on them so there is no staircase behind it. Crazy to see a whole of 25 cab over variants, but a bit dissapointing there are no variants with more wheels, especially US dump and concrete trucks can have a ridiculous amount of them. But maybe this is because it is a bit older, no idea how it used to be. What concerns me a bit is that the coupler on the cabover seems to be in the dead center of the dual axle, putting zero load on the steering axle. I hope they don't turn turn into uncontrollably jacknifing monsters. On a Euro Truck it would almost be over the middle of the second axle, but as I said I don't know American trucks
Yeah, I'd love to see a 'T1000' turbo with 5000+Nm of torque! But that also requires stronger block options, because the only one we have right now can only handle up to 4000Nm.
