Re: General discussion chat I'm thinking about purchasing a Unicomp keyboard, any suggestions? I currently have this one in mind; http://pckeyboard.com/page/UltraClassic/UB40P4A
Re: General discussion chat Its because of the way that the .223 was designed; it was designed to be unstable in flight and instantly start tumbling as soon as it hit something (like a human or in this case, a wall). When it tumbles in something soft, it causes a lot more damage and generally stops inside of the target. When its tumbling in something relatively hard (like a wall) it dissipates its energy very quickly because of the increased surface area of the side of the bullet. And shotguns, at "in house" distance will have less than a foot of spread. But against a bad guy, its damn effective.
Re: General discussion chat Testing Linux Mint on the old Dell. Let's see how BeamNG runs on a P4 2.8 HT! EDIT : Forgot I was running a live session. Need to wipe disk and install. :C
Re: General discussion chat Not well. That's slower than a 1.4Ghz Haswell by a good bit. Also, I'm not even sure the game will start on a GPU from back then.
Re: General discussion chat I'm not looking for a playable experience. Just a test. EDIT: Won't install.
Re: General discussion chat Makes sense, guess there is also the effectively increased thickness when hitting from an angle aiding things. As for shotgun, maybe even 1 foot is ambitious. But even if its lets say 10cm, that is still a 10cm leeway when you wake up at 4am with a cracking hangover.
Re: General discussion chat 1 foot for anything under ~30 or so yards is very ambitious, but there are some birdshot loads that are designed to spread very rapidly, so it is possible. You gotta remember though, the sound of a shotgun being racked is more intimidating than the average rifle or pistol being cocked. Sometimes sound is enough to deter intruders, especially if that sound could easily be followed by "BANG"
Re: General discussion chat I just saw Interstellar in IMAX. First off, it was an incredible movie. I enjoyed every second of it. Secondly, it was my first time seeing a movie in IMAX. IMAX is a truly incredible experience. It made the movie 10x more immersive. Highly recommend going to see this movie.

Re: General discussion chat I do not regret reading that. That was very funny & has convinced me that after Holden closes in 2017 that Tesla is my new Automotive god.

Re: General discussion chat Well, legally, I would imagine that a Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth Conquest would be registered as such, thus no matter how much you say it's a Mitsubishi, the motor registry will refer to it as a Conquest. There's also the compliance plate, which will always say Conquest. That said, the Conquest is practically identical to the Mitsubishi Starion, the only differing feature is the badges. If you really feel ashamed about your uber cool 80's Japanese sportscar wearing a Chrysler badge (as I would), I see no problem with writing Starion on it, or Starquest, which is a very good sounding name... Alternatively, you could just buy a Starion instead, I'm very sure they also were sold in America, alongside the Conquest. If you do not live in America, then there's no problem Don't forget the 80's ones, and in time, the early 90's (and the 60's, and maybe a 50's Toyopet Crown)
