Is there a way to apply a position offset to - let’s say - a steering wheel slot? I tried nodeMove and nodeOffset, but with no success. So, basically, let’s say I have a slot where the parts are just flexbody and prop, or only a single prop. And I was wondering if I could apply an offset to that slot, let’s say I need to move the gauge cluster and steering wheel to add to an RHD interior to a car.
I can only say, what I did, but maybe, it helps you. In the Steering wheel jbeam is a value called "baseTranslation" with an x, an y and an z coordinate. The z changes, from the drivers perspective the height of the wheel, the x axis, the x axis, if you think from a 3d coordinates system. It will move to you or away from you. The y axis moves the wheel, again from the drivers perspective to the left or right, so with this, you should be able, to move the steering wheel position to the right. To the gauge cluster. I would recommend, to add a new one, I would even add a completly new dashboard. You could simply mirror the whole dash, but I recommend, to only mirror certain parts and copy others directly. I know, this isn't really the answer, to your question, but if you plan, to make a right hand drive interior, then I personally would do it like this. I hope, my answer helps you at least a bit
Are you sure that the base rotation moves things, and not the base translation? I’ll check it out anyway, thx Also, I do have a custom RHD dash, it’s just that the gauges are a separate mesh, in fact each one is a separate mesh (I didn’t do it like skins). And so every gauge part uses a gauge flexbody and (usually) 4 needle props.
Sorry, it's baseTranslation, my mistake, I changed it now. I don't really know, how your gauge cluster is structured, a few pictures might help, so I could see, how it looks. This would help me, to find better answers for your questions. The needles itself should be able, to simply be put into the position, where you want them to be. For the other parts, I would recommend, to copy and paste, but at the end, I can only give advices and youre free to do, what you think is the best.
Alright, so judging by what you said, and my personal experience, I’ll need to make separate RHD props. That’s alright, although I’ll still think about the gauges and if they are somehow movable. Basically how this works: [Gauges] : [Petrol Gauges] —The flat texture for the petrol gauges —The needle props
