That's the 3.2 I6 isn't it? Edit: Did a quick search, and yes, the facelift models did use S52 engines, but the pre-facelift models ('94 -'95) used the S50B30US engines - both producing 240 hp and both being 3.0L. Edit 2: Adding more information - the USDM M3s output 225 lb-ft of torque pre-facelift (S50) and 236 lb-ft when the S52 was later added for the facelift. They did not use a 6 speed manual, and used a 5 speed manual instead. Also, it was actually increased from 3.0 (pre) to 3.2 (facelift) so looks like I was wrong about them both being 3.0L. My bad.
This issue has been "raised" multiple times prior to the latest update, and seems to be ignored or brushed away every time by the author. If not, some other person will come at you and insist that it's YOUR problem and not the mod. Filth being one of them, so it's surprising to see him admit that something in fact is wrong now. I made a thread a few days ago regarding this mod and this issue, but it seems like the Mod "Support" part of this forum is basically dead with how little activity there is in there. Something is making the suspension in the rear left sit lower than the rest, which results in increased negative camber on that wheel, this makes the right front get lifted up slightly, which in turn gives more positive camber on that wheel compared to front left, and so on.. On top of that, the toe angles are all out of whack and not matching the other side either. This makes the car behave weird, pull to the left and look lopsided. Maybe something is wrong in the jbeam for the suspension, or something weight related (not sure how this works in Beam).
Yeah I'm now facing the issue since the 1.5 update, I'm guessing in the past i'd fixed the issue without realizing or something i modified did. I haven't had much luck finding issues within the Jbeam yet but i'll keep looking until i figure out the issue.
No the USDM M3 uses essentially a 3.0 L M50B30 called the S50B30US and the updated one had a 3.2L called the S52B32US, they both make about 240hp and 230ish ft-lbs of torque they're basically just tuned m50s and m52s respectively. --- Post updated --- Does the creator plan to add the m3 compact concept? I think that would be really neat to see. Also maybe more exhausts? It's a pretty limited selection, longer blastpipes would be nice to have.
I see - but if that's the case, wouldn't the config use the 3.0 and 3.2 versions and not the 2.8 on the config itself? Unless I'm missing something here.
Probably yes like in Touring - replica --- Post updated --- About that problem with one side lower I don't know if I can fix that, I will try but no promises
What a wonderful mod! I'm using it every time i Play Beamng and i love drifting it in Italy or in Utah. Btw, do you have in plan to do a lightweight/racing dashboard? It would be very sick. Also, is there a possibility of the M3 e36 GT3 model being made? Anyways, keep up with the work mate 'cause the mod is very well made!
what mod is that? --- Post updated --- The us config uses the 2.8 motor because theres no s50/52US option so the 2.8 is used with stage one, the euro versions of the s50 and s52 make substantially more horsepower, 286 for the s50 and 321 for the s50b30 Also correction, to my knowledge the S52B32 is only a US spec engine as far as i'm aware. Europe had the s50b30 and s50b32
Well, you are correct about European models producing substantially more power - the USDM M3s produced only 240 horsepower. And yes, S52B32 is USDM (and to an extent, Canada) only. I'm just confused as to why it has a 2.8, but now that you've explained it, it makes sense.
I don't know if anyone else noted this yet, but the turbo kicks in way too late for a diesel on both the i6 and the i4, the peak torque is at almost 3500rpm which is even higher than most turbocharged petrol engines and it just makes it feel weird driving the diesel variants
