Re: General discussion chat I see your point but there is more of a chance if a kangaroo in counter then a horse, Kangaroos are every where in Australian outback and bush roads. They roam the place freely, In saying this I have no idea what it's like in your country.

Re: General discussion chat Its not just the UK where bull bars are banned. Its European law. They were banned because it was deemed that most people had them purely for decoration and that the risk of hitting an animal is far lower than the risk caused by having bull bars fitted. But there are certain types that are legal but they have to be safe for pedestrians. These are called A bars, they fold on impact (usually hinged at the bottom) making them pretty much useless for anything but show. But, it is legal to have the old style bull bars as long as you have a winch fitted to it, so if you really need them then put a winch on it. I think its fair to say that it is far better to damage your car than kill someone though since bull bars pretty much guarantee death for anyone you hit.
