Hello, As a VR user I am always using reshade with my VR games. My Valve Index headset tends to have somewhat muted colors, so turning up the saturation in reshade really helps most VR games look much more colorful. Reshade supports games that use the OpenVR API, but BeamNG uses OpenXR so it's not possible to use reshade here. Another potential option is to use OpenXR toolkit because it also allows me to edit saturation and contrast. However, it only supports DirectX games and the BeamNG VR implementation only works with Vulkan. Without those two options, I cannot find a way to edit the saturation and contrast of BeamNG. There is only a gamma option which doesn't help. So here is my feature request: I would like the ability to edit the saturation and contrast in addition to the gamma using in-game settings. It would also be useful for people who aren't playing in VR as BeamNG tends to look a bit washed out, especially with how faded the sky looks (it needs to be bluer imo!)
You use Nvidia ? Alt-F3 to pull up NVidia's filters. Sometimes the thing says must have game that supports this feature. Make sure game is Fullscreen, sometimes windows mode will interfere with working. Usually just set to full screen exit game and reload to fix. But I use them a lot. As far as reshade, I only used that once. Had a hell of a time getting it off once it was installed.
I just upgraded to an AMD, so sadly I don't have that option anymore. I don't even know if it would've worked in VR.
What is the other one Nvidia John always talks about. Not Reshade, but the other one. Not sure if that is for Nvidia only. Realize this does not help not knowing the name. Now that I think about it, don't think beamNG has a brightness contrast gamma setting in the options. I asked ChatGTP about it, would think you have tried this already though... AMD Radeon Software: AMD provides its own software suite called Radeon Software. This software allows you to adjust various graphics settings, including brightness and contrast. Here's how you can do it: a. Right-click on your desktop and select "AMD Radeon Software." b. In the Radeon Software interface, click on "Display" in the top menu. c. Under "Display," you should see options for "Color" or "Color & Gamma." Click on this option. d. From here, you can adjust brightness, contrast, and other color settings to your liking.
