    I haven't seen any memory leak recently in Vulkan (besides the one that on some PCs causes leak when dragging imgui windows outside the game window). But looking at what you say it would make sense, Vulkan requires around 500 mb more than DX11 right now and it allocates VRAM with a 500 mb margin. That is if you have a 6GB GPU it will be able to allocate 5.5 GB at max, at least that's what I see from my observations.

    Probably already reported, but I've observed this.
    upload_2023-9-25_17-52-18.png
    How to reproduce it:
    • Load the "Back and Forth" mission in career;
    • There's a high chance (2/3 times I loaded that mission in Vulkan, I had this) that there will be this graphical issue on the Vivace;
    I've heard of another user that had the same graphical problem on the new Hirochi utv, so it may not be car specific.

    Are there any plans for texture streaming? I feel like this would help a lot with the current bottlenecks as well as futureproofing eg. for more detailed/bigger maps. Especially since VR is now already using way too much vram for current mainstream cards.

    Just incase further confirmation is useful, I am observing the same behaviour on my 2060. Vulkan is completely unusable now whereas it at least kinda worked in 0.29

    1- My Graphics card is a Radeon HD 8790M

    1047142-55f9652d0503f89f9ad9788688f07aa4.png

    2- These (Drivers) are the lastest the GPU can support and are from the official Dell™ Website.

    3- I've tried Regular Vulkan and the safe mode with extra debug data.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    The game doesn't launch but it remains open in task manager as a background process, I noticed this when i tried launching the game after thinking it had crashed.

    These are the screen when i open it in regular Vulkan mode:

    svae.png

    While in the (Vulkan) safe mode this pops up only after I DON'T try closing it from task manager and launching it again:

    This is after I try launching it once again:

    edwewdw.png

    I have the Vulkan SDK installed and anything that might be needed although I don't think its neccesary.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Here are my Specs;

    gsfdgdfgd.png

    That is all. If anything more is needed I will reply.

    EDIT:

    It does stay open in task manager, I forgot to prove that so here it is;

    l.png

    It doesn't use anymore Ram or CPU.

    EDIT 2:

    It works fine with DirectX.

    Does this seem right? Vulkan uses more VRAM, for sure, but why is the utilization so low? It that because of the VRAM usage? Or is it just how Vulkan works? I stll get lower FPS in Vulkan, which is weird, because it used to be the opposite, until a couple versions back or so...

    Please attach the log (beamng.log file from your user folder) after trying to launch the game in Vulkan mode

    I believe yes that's because of the VRAM issue we have :/ also game got a bit heavier on memory since few updates, maybe try to run it on lower details, especially low textures for example as a test.

    The funny thing is that I have the lowest settings so I can hit 45 FPS consistently!

    But I will post my log file.

    So here it is;
    --- Post updated ---
    I use 0.29 since I'm too lazy to update, Plus I cant download more then 1 gigabyte per day so it is pretty bad.

    After the hotfixes it runs now, but holy shit is it broken.
    See videos attached, can't show the whole picture with a screenshot.

    Same thing here, although I suspect this is related to the whole "vulkan not running on intergrated graphics" thing considering how laptops work:(

    Have you tried setting BeamNG to use your GTX 1650 in Nvidia Control Panel and Windows Graphics Settings?

    I did check (since it'd be super embarassing and dumb if I didn't), but yes BeamNG is forced onto the 1650 in Windows Graphics Settings and Nvidia Control Panel.

    Huh, I have the same GPU as you, and for me, Vulkan runs, just not very well... Weird

    this cannot be so because my laptop is connected to the monitor, and the HDMI output only works in graphics mode, the laptop is also an Ideapad gaming 3 :)

    :rolleyes: Can't believe I found another ideapad gaming 3 user
    Laptop 1650 vs Desktop 1650, no clue what's different but it's something that's not allowing vulkan to run
