Update Speculation thread

in 0.31 they should focus on vulkan

 

This pure speculation but:
this place is for refill gas station's fuel pool, right?
So, is possible to have refuels mission when t-series update comes out?

 

Didn't people expect this update to be really big?

 

People always have unreasonably large expectations for updates, especially after 0.27. There was never any reason for people to think this update would be as big as they did.

Next update is the holiday update, so it should be a decent size. Not 0.27 big, but still...

 

Actually there was a reason. In the 0.29 update log at the end it said that 0.30 will have several new major improvements and new features. Based on this, this update is underwhelming.

 

I COMPLETELY disagree, the amount of improvements and fixes and backend stuff in this update is rather impressive, as well as a new car and map expansion...We even got bloody VR look at the full changelog

 

• Gear shift update
• Career mode tutorial and economy and recovery system and so on
• Improved gas stations
• JBeam editor
• And, oh yeah... Support for VR

It absolutely had several major new features. If that all isn't enough for you then nothing ever would be short of 0.27 sized update. Which is exactly what I was saying... Any one of these alone would've been a good update pre-0.27

 

Also remember, this update didn't even take 3 months since the last one, and still had all the things that the 2 posts above me mentioned. Also, about 3 months after 0.30 is perfect timing for the holidays.

 

0.31 should be more content focused, with tire thermals

I think we’re at a point where tire thermals are reasonably doable

 

as far as im aware the devs havent said anything about tire thermals in awhile so i dont think we'll see it in coming updates

 

since they are probably focusing on other things (T-series remaster, finishing unfinished things, like the west coast island, and adding and improving, or compliting features like the career mode), and creating and adding new vehicles,or rematering the existing one's, cause since the 0.22 update, each update came with a new vehicle or vehicle remaster, so my guess is that tire thermals will not be present in the next update or two.

 

It kinda does
Vulkan alows higher performance
Bigger maps are more demanding on the hardware and currently running WCUSA in DX11 it gets pretty laggy
