I do have the same folder placed in both vehicles and mods folders, but deleting one or the other doesn't stop the issue
The mod file should be in mods/unpacked/. As videopants suggested with his response, it seems like there’s some problem and it just breaks, which is signified by the very beautiful debug method of making the car fly to Oblivion. So yes, sending the file could be a good idea.
here is the zip file, I did this by trying to follow a tutorial so I really have no clue if anything ive done is right Could it be because I made it with the mirror modification in blender? I only really modeled 1 side.
There are double brackets in the .jbeam. Also, rename the jbeam to „cyberboat”, idk if that’s important but I think it is. --- Post updated --- Every single beginner ever gets destroyed by a misspell, so don’t worry about it And as for the mirror thing, in Blender in the exporting window, there’s a toggle to automatically apply all modifiers while exporting, so you can still work with the modifier but when you export it, it applies it to the .dae +there’s no mention of the flexbody anywhere, so when you fix the bracket issue, make sure to add that. (Ofc if you’re following a tutorial then take your time and do everything in order)
Thanks for pointing out the double bracket, but it still isn't loading up and its doing the same thing?
This is the folder order: /mods/unpacked/cyberboat/vehicles/cyberboat/the files And Maybe there’s Another misspell
So I think that I have created a flexbody correctly, I know I haven't done the textures correctly, so the way i currently have it it should appear in the game as something similar to a prop? I made it a zip file in the mods folder and I think ive done most of the instructions correctly but it doesnt show up in game.
Strange. The only thing the game could be upset with is the fact that it starts like {"Cyberboat": { And not like in most vanilla vehicles, like { "Cyberboat": { but that’s the only thing it could be bothered by. Maybe there’s something in the debug log? (Press [ ` ])
Update, Ive remade the folder and jbeam, I can now load up the car in game but the mesh is off center and parts of it are missing? I also moved the folder to mods unpacked
Alright, so I guess it’s in-game now, nice! Could you send a screenshot of it in-game with collision shown (Ctrl+B)?
There’s actually a newly released official Blender jbeam editor tool, which only works for nodes as of now (so no new beams or triangles), so go check it out, it can help.
I tried it out when remaking the jbeam, but since it can't do beams and triangles I went back to the old plugin, but if the mesh is a seperate file that loads complete why are parts of it missing?
