Hello everyone!!! I want to share with you my progress on creating my own map "This is an improved Italy baby" (Title still under development). Although the map is still under development, I've already managed to add some interesting locations such as a big ETK dealer, car repair shops in the city center and outside the city, a cozy cabin outside the city and a drift spot in the mountains. However, I want to add more unique locations for players to play out their stories and take photos. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of time to develop the map, and there was also a problem with not having proper instructions for the word-editor. For example, I don't know how to implement lighting effects to turn on and off in the evening. If you have any ideas and knowledge about this, please share with me. Overall, I want to create a map that is not only beautiful but also functional. I want players to be able to enjoy the game, and I want my map to have a lot of interesting places to explore and use in my game scenarios. ----Photos---- Damn, I was gonna put this in Terrains, Levels, Maps. Somebody needs to redesign the shape
The author is well done, I fully support him. Сontinue to work out the maps. The problem with the lack of proper instructions for the word editor is really familiar to me.
A very nice idea man, but there's already a Italy Rework mod, still wip but released, made by @FTamino
Your map looks really good. I don't want to demotivate you from doing it. I also started my italy rework as my first map. Just try playing around with it. You will get better
Hello, thank you. I know you are also working on the Italy rework, but I would like to give my opinion, which you may not agree with. Some elements of your work look unnatural, both in terms of real world (urbanity) and game-design. For example, I think the placement of some checkpoints looks odd and can hamper gameplay. I repeat that I do not want to offend or hurt anyone. --- Post updated --- @FTamino If you have not offended me yet, I wanted to ask you how you realized the lighting on your map, I understand that you have it turned on and off automatically ?
Sorry for not answering for quite long. I don't feel offended by anyone. I will maybe change some positions an overall roadwork in the future to make it more natural. Maybe you could tell me which tollbooths you mean (I'd guess the one in Norte on the side of the city itself) I found a tutorial somewhere on here that shows how to do it, but basically you can just create a group called auto_lights or similar and then copy the .lua file in the main folder of my map and it should work. I think the lua is from jri or ind. If it doesn't work you can search for a tutorial in the forums
