This is really fun and well done, but I think the grabber needs to be redone as the shape tends to make it clip into stuff instead of grabbing it. I would prefer a claw shape so stuff could slide off if clipped inside and it would improve grip. Otherwise this is almost perfect. I was playing with the B-25 and grabbed it on the wing. The grabber got clipped into it, so I turned the B-25 engines to max (bad idea) and twisted the whole thing until it stopped working. I also grabbed a Cessna too hard and crushed it. Edit: Something like this would be nice. You should make two sizes, a small one the size of a normal cars width and a big one that is as big as the current grabber. It should be sharp so it pierces through vehicles when extracted and does not let them slide off when contracted.

Such as one that fits car tires and one that is an actual wrecking claw like you pictured. - - - Updated - - - Released a small update that addresses some minor issues, and makes the claw even further open for larger vehicles (wider) Note : If you are running 0.3.6.6 there is a LUA bug that causes this not to work. Here is how to fix it and keep force feedback: Open lua\vehicles\hydros.lua Go to Line 177 ("end") Make a new line and type "if FFBHydro ~= nil then" without quotes Go to line 193 ("end") Make a new line and type "end" without quotes >This will also fix all the "Large X" props from not working< End result : (imported from here) Alternatively though you could just download the newest version of exparimental with the issue fixed.
Updated to fix a ton of backwards collision triangles. Vehicles won't stick to the claw part anymore .-.
hey man, I love your mod, but after the update(0.5 I think), it no longer works. is there any way you could update it so it works in the most current version, because now that it doesn't work i really miss having it due to the general lack of crane/grabber mods like this one
Yeah, this is an old mod, those generally don't work correctly. Bumping old threads won't change that.
