    The LS6 is a 454 not a 350, plus the $8,000 I spent on upgrades

    "My stock 350 makes 330 hp at the wheel"

    -Well that seems a bit strange.

    "Yes but it actually isn't stock, I spent 8000 dollars on upgrading it"

    :confused::confused::confused: What's your point?

    I never said 350, I said 5.7L. The LS-6 was indeed a 454 big block, I commend you or knowing that at least. But the LS6 I was talking about was from the 2002 C5 Corvette Z06 and 2004 Cadillac CTS-V, a 345 cubic inch all aluminum engine that shared its block design and overall displacement with the LS1 but had unique heads, manifolds, and camshaft. Please, before trying to correct someone, check to make sure you won't make yourself look like a fool. But what am I saying, I'm trying to talk sense to someone who spent $8,000 on a $2,000 truck.

    For all you fellow automotive history buffs out there, the LS6 moniker was also used for a 151 ci four cylinder in the late 1970's. My source for all this was a quick browse of Wikipedia.

    You can get a Gen I Small block Chevy to put out more 400 HP for right around $1000, a high end cam, something like a Edlebrock Super Victor intake, some junkyard Vortec heads, and a decent Carb, and there you go.

    That being said, there was no 400 horse Small block from the factory, in a car or truck. Closest I can think of would be the 365 Horse 327 from the mid-60's. (I'm not positive, but I believe that those particular 327's were the L-76)

    If you go to Chevrolet.com and look under their performance tab go to the engines.

    Those are crate engines, I'm talking about engines that were in a vehicle from the factory.

    Hey gabester, How come there is a beam going from the lower shock mount to the exhaust? I noticed the off-road wasn't flexing evenly and then I saw this single beam. I removed it and got full flex.

    It's a limiter beam to prevent the exhaust from swinging around like crazy when some of the mounts break. I have no idea why I connected it to the axle - will fix, thanks.

    How come when you go to manually put fender flares on through the parts selector, you are only able to select the rear fender flares & not the front ones? You can only get the front ones on it by selecting the offroad version.

    It's an official vehicle.
    It shall live on forever.
    But seriously, how do you manage to navigate the internet, much less the forums? You seem to have very, very low bran capacity, and it surprises me that you are able to do so.
