Just started on a project creating an Ural 4320 truck. All help is appreciated. it is currently only meshlapped, but it is day one of the project (if you don't count the 3d modelling which i did a while back for another purpose) That is a picture in blender, which is the goal. Don't mind the low-poly-ness. Will fix that later. This is a picture taken ingame. As mentioned, it is only meshlapped now, but it is to figure out the correct scaling. Progress report day three: it is taking shape Progress report day four: jbeam and such mostly already done apart from the cab and wheels Wheel size also increased Progress report day six: "added" suspension flex One very prominent feature of the Ural 4320 is the insane suspension flex it has And obviously, it would be a shame not to include that "magic" in the mod, so here is the current progress on just that. And by the way, this thing is an offroad beast even before i've added front wheel drive In addition to that, i have also started working on the jbeam for the cab, which up until now, only had the T-series cab jbeam. Progress report day... three hundred and something The T-series remaster broke the mod, so i remade the entire mod. Also made a logo, but unsure if it's Карпат or Карпать, so if anyone knows, I would love to know. Also did some refurbishment on the 3d model, but mostly jbeam work. Making a mod based on the remastered T-series is a LOT harder than the old one
Will have it's own. Such as the "tent" that some of them have, a flatbed with wooden/metal walls as seen in the rendering, a log transporting bed-thingy that you can put logs on, and a 5th wheel. Possibly more too, but that's the plan for now
Looks great! oreng no matariel truc --- Post updated --- Do you know how to use the Autosmooth feature? It’s important for making the models look more realistic and fitting the game by using an Autosmooth of about 45-60 degrees Source: https://documentation.beamng.com/modding/modelling/vehicle_modeling/
yes, I do. just keeping it low poly for now to make exporting and editing quicker. i have a ryzen 9 7950x so shouldn't really matter, but it may. or does the autosmooth not affect performance?
FYI, Urla is a name of a seaside town in İzmir, Turkey. Maybe you better find a proper name for this. And also, Russian vehicles don't have their numbers randomly. The number 4130 denotes an automobile with an over 3.5 liter engine, not a truck. It should be numbered as "x3xx-xxx" where the 3 means a truck and the first x means its tonnage.
Is that really a problem? --- Post updated --- I mean there’s a town in Turkey called Batman and that’s fine (although they did try suing the Batman character) And there’s even (fun fact) a place in Iran called S***!
oh damn, thank you for telling me. I know there was some kind of system (take the MAZ 7310 for example) but never knew how it worked. i may just go with one of the current brands, but they don't really have any eastern european ones. But then again, Ural is named after a place too
Why name is Karpat - its too different mountains in different parts of the world and different countries...
Karpat is very similar to multiple mountains around the world, like in Poland. But it's fitting for this car, I mean, it's strong as the mountains!
