Budget sports cars are something beamng needs more of as well, late 80’s to 90’s muscle and some kind of small lightweight sportscar would really help to fill some more gaps in beams car list
They will. Most vehicle have gotten a remaster/remake. just a matter of when. T-Series isnt getting any yet because one of devs said all the proportions were wrong, so its just waiting until they redesign the whole vehicle. I would assume the devs made the vehicles in the very early stages as placeholder just to move on with the project then refocus on them.
Speaking of which, I wonder how much mod content affects the devs' priorities. Like, everybody would love a 200BX remaster, but at the same time, it's probably the second most modded car right after the D-Series – and remastering it would require at least some adjustments to the mods. Take Covet remaster and KLJP, even though it looks more or less the same, it still required quite a lot of work to get the modded stuff working again (put aside extra stuff they were cooking). What if the devs are delaying cars like 200BX or Sunburst on purpose? This post was brought to you by a Sunburst remaster hopium addict.
Yeah! Those old cars have always been there, and developers can completely decide the time of remaster these old cars. They will always do it.
While we're here, it seemed like they were gonna standardize the car folder name to the car name (hatch > covet, super > bolide) but they named the dunekicker "racetruck" and the wydra "atv", kinda odd
Dunekicker, Rockbasher, Stambecco and Wydra were likely in the work for many years, a lot of research has to go into stuff like this, so it's possible that they created the files for them before the standarization started
And IIRC (it might have been on one of the livestreams) one of the devs mentioned the wydra's mesh had been sitting around for 2 or 3 years on a hard drive before they got around to jbeaming it. It kind of makes me wonder how long some cars actually took from an initial idea, to a rough mesh, to an in-game prototype.
Easily years to a decade for some. Keeping in mind even before they made the BeamNG game there are likely features they are still trying to implement that they conceptualized in the Rigs of Rods era
It takes several times more energy than other racing games.BeamNG's unique authenticity is destined to make vehicles look like real vehicles.Forza and Gran turismo only need to make the car look real from the outside. They won't make the internal structure of the car, but BeamNG must have it, and it should be as real as possible. There is also the softbody physics engine of this game, which also requires BeamNG's vehicles to have far better physical effects than other games. All these require developers to work hard several times. It is amazing that developers can make more than two cars in one year.
I asked from Сhat GPT so that he comes up with a name for minivan based on an existing brand and that's what he said: "Minivan for BeamNG Drive with the name "Sunburst MPV". Sunburst is an existing brand in the game, so its "MPV" model is a calm, comfortable and spacious minivan. It is designed to carry a large family and has a large passenger capacity. Main Features: - Engine: 1.8-liter, 138 hp and 210 Nm of torque. - Transmission: 5-speed manual. - Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h: 10.5 seconds. - Maximum speed: 180 km/h . - Appearance: fresh and modern design, combining smooth lines and streamlined shapes. - Body: spacious interior for a family of 6-7 people, large trunk, secure systems and many other useful functions. The Sunburst MPV is a versatile and reliable minivan for family trips. It has a lot of space for passengers and luggage, and also has a high level of safety and comfort. At the same time, it remains economical in fuel consumption and easy to maintain."
Yeah, I hope they make modern versions of T-Series like facelifts, new uplifts like garagem truck, non-rollback tow truck, fire engine (I know there's mods but they're making some mods as official content like legran wagon) and ambulance, and maybe a new truck and new trailers.
The LeGran wagon was always on the concept vehicle list from 2013 or something, the EYK 800-Series sedan would be a better example.
Anyways, that new map that devs are making "Circuit of Americas" looks interesing (Hirochi Raceway, we won't forgot you), but I think they should add more European maps, could have a french map because we have Sunburst and Vivace from Gendarmerie (French Police) or asiatic maps like Japan, China and others, also maps on americas that isn't United States, like Mexico, Canada, Brazil (I would like this because I'm brazilian) or maybe Cuba with some new 50s cars. The Circuit of Americas is on the United States as the name says, but I hope it be on some state that doens't appear (already appears Maine, Texas, Utah, California and Hawaii) so maybe Idaho, Illinois, Michigan, Delaware, Florida and others. --- Post updated --- Really? If that was the case it would come on 0.8 when LeGran comes.
Gabester had mentioned a LeGran based wagon as far back as 2013, they just didn't release it alongside the proper LeGran due to the complicated development of the LeGran and the issues with outsourcing it
I hope that alongside t series remaster comes european truck too. Bcs there is a huge gap between amount of different vehicles that comes from the US and other countries in the game right now.
So ... Maybe the minivan that will be updated this time is one of the ideas of developers long ago.Indeed, they are trying to make up for the vacancy of "modern vehicles" in the game in recent years.
