If I use the Terrain Painter tool, I can paint many kind of material, but the wet sandbeach cannot be changed to dry, nor the opposite way. I made a video to showcase my problem.

I create a long beach race map for multiplayer games and I want to change the shore line but I dont know how to change this attribute of a given terrain surface. It will always stay the same, dark-shiny, or pale-matte. Terrain painter doesnt affect it, so I guess it wouldn't effect it even If I was created a new custom terrain type. Please help.

This is controlled the base textures (roughness map mainly, possibly also AO). There will be a single texture file called something like terrain_base_r,png. You need to change this to reduce the reflectivity.

OR... you need to change how you set up your textures, and for the one you want to add (if a custom one, or a normal one) just change that one's base roughness to another file that is darker or lighter, depending on if you want it to have more or less reflectivity...

I think that should fix it.
