looks like we`re getting a gambler 500 update --- Post updated --- speculation time ! 6x6 bolide is apparently confirmed tractor covet as well (maybe with twin engine) many cars probably are getting the same treatment especially the ones with derby configs (thats my assumption )
i was thinking that, about 5 weeks the contest ends, so in theory the update is aswell cos someome else assumed it would come out in a month or so based on previous updates
This is probably a glitch/WIP thing, but the large Covet wheel is see-thru. Also does anyone know what sort of vehicle that suspension setup originally came from? It kinda looks like an airplane's landing gear assembly on its side.
I dunno, the background and the wheel line up almost perfectly thats either a reflection of the other side on the wheel (kind of doubt) or it's see-through. seeing as it's a work in progress, it's not meant to be like this, and will be fixed before release
I wish the T-series get updated in this version. It could be pretty nice. I don’t know if that event includes truck, but it would be nice to see some dumb configuration. Like a drag one or some weird off-road stuff. (also in general if/when they update it, it would be nice if they could do something like the gavril truck. Give it a early and late body work and upgrade. So to have a more modern looking truck even if it’s quite old)
We might be getting a Gambler version of the Pigeon also. BeamNG on twitter replied to someone asking we need this on the Pigeon and BeamNG replied “You're not gonna believe what happens next™” So we could see more vehicles other than the Covet and Bolide which are the only ones confirmed for now.
i guess i'm a prophet (then again assuming this is official content it would be obvious for the devs to add some stuff)
Maybe not deformable terrain but visible tire marks, with different tires having different textures reflect on the ground. Also Johnson Valley and this event could be part of a unique offroad project, all with dirt on cars and ropes. It's nice to see them moving in this offroad direction and on race-centered tire simulation
This. While I don't expect the sand in the Johnson Valley to deform like snow in RDR2, having no visual feedback from driving off-road makes it feel incomplete.
We might have a deadline for the release date: It makes sense to publish a colaboration update at the time of the event and it matches roughly their 3 month schedule. sauce
Mentioning RDR2, it seems (I haven't played it) that snow is reacting to the player but not physically. I think at Spintirer/Snow Runner when referring to deformable terrain because there the change is not just visual but also physical (the tire reacts in a different way on the ground that has been interacted with and this happens over and over). So it would be much less resource intensive to do what RDR2 does, where (if I'm not wrong) the terrain has only a visual, pre-determined, change.
I want mid grey working again and more graphical improvements, atleast it would be nice to save changes in Renderer Components without mods. I do like the whole Gambler thing still though.
