If I were to attempt to make a beam.ng mod I know that I should start with a part how do I do that ? my plan would be to create a new front and rear fascia for the moonhawk that looks more like a 1976-1977 oldsmobile cutlass I have not clue how to use blender or how to jbeam is there any other 3d modeling software that is easier to learn and use and is there a way to create jbeam automatically? once I do that how would I put it in game? thank you in advance for your help
Your only option really is to continue using blender, with a bit of training you'll be able to do it. this tutorial is very nicely done, you won't need to create a jbeam as long as the fascia you're creating has the same general size/shape as the original one
just displace some nodes and you should be good to go, use ctrl+n in-game to show the node names, locate the ones you need to move and modify their coordinates in the jbeam file (the numbers are x, y and z in this order)
