Guess ill make a thread for it, this is a vehicle i have designed when i was young but i gave it a facelift. It is a muscle car resemblance, a Rear wheel drive vehicle, 4 speed manual and it has a shifter concept that the shifter is like automatic but you have to press the clutch to shift each gear. The textures are not final because i have to photoshop them and some parts are from gabester's Moonhawk. Constructive criticisms are welcome. To do.... -Replace gabesters parts with mine. -Texture work in photoshop to make it more realistic -Buy the game after 3 or 4 weeks -Finish the rest i have to do. Special footage. -Meet Prostreet. This is one of my designs that i made in school and was one of my designs that was able to be put in blender. It is a muscle car. However this car was never finished because my CPU got fried and the files were lost. The zip below is the UV textures since i am still learning how to make textures and i am really in need of help.
Having one UV Texture for each part is the worst thing you could have done. It's better to pack everything in 1 or 2 UV Textures. Also, you will find out that you just need to bake only Ambient Occlusion, not the colours, so that you can change the car colour on the fly.
I found a pretty major interior design fault: Get rid of the center console & shifter or split the front bench, cars with benches don't have center consoles and cars with consoles don't have beches. Just imagine having to slip your hand between someone's legs to change the gear. Interesting model otherwise.
I think you should just get rid of the center console and go with a column shifter automatic. If you keep it this way people are just gonna complain about how its impossible to have a manual with a shifter like that. This talk was tapped
That whole setup would be really uncomfortable and difficult to use. You'd have to bend down to get to the shifter because it's way down on the floor.
Thanks for the helps ill start improving the car interior Ill look forward to it, but the problem when i texture is that i don't know how to unwrap the separated parts.
I still fail to see the issue. Please respond. Car is pretty neat looking. I'm hoping for a unique jbeam though
I wouldn't want to almost jerk someone off every time I have to shift gears. Heavy traffic could be akward with your parents / siblings riding next to you.
I don't understand. Why would you be jerking off your passenger? Is this like that south park episode where you have things going in your butt to make it go faster?
Been inactive for a few weeks but here is some progress i made. I removed the shade errors as clean as possible Added a grill
I would recommend something that looks less like grandma's curtains for the grille design. A "square" mesh pattern works nicely for an old muscle car. (imported from here)
Someone (not on these forums) made a 69 charger, but it was a crappy model that was very obviously unfinished. It drove really nice though....
