i cant take a video, dont know why but i can tell you a car with the problem. the 2.0 SE SR-TEC coupe ( early) (m) has the issue, what you have to do is to accelerate to like 15, then lift. dont brake, you´ll hear a weird sound shift between the acceleration sound and the engine. --- Post updated --- rethinking about it, i dont know if its a bug or if it is intended to have that sound
as far as i am understanding, you are hearing SR-TEC which is my lore version of Ibishu's variable valve lift system. its functionally identical to VTEC from Honda or VVTL-i from Toyota (specifically VVTL-i, not VVTi) in that there are two separate cam profiles, an economy (low) cam and a performance (high) cam. the low cam is operational below a set engine speed, but once you rev the car above the "crossover RPM," the engine's high cam is actuated by an oil pressure system which gives you an immediate bump in power, and a change to the engines induction sound. take a listen to this factory stock 2020 Honda Odyssey with the 3.5L VTEC V6:
Found a small bug, this mod makes the eSBR drive mode display on the dashboard incorrectly --- Post updated --- The bug is likely caused by the lack of renaming in the relevant jbeam files in the "sbr_dse_drivemodes_gt6facelift.jbeam" file the "sbr_DSE_drivemodes_ICE_gt6facelift" name is unique, but the "sbr_DSE_drivemodes_electricMotor" in line 169 name is the same as BeamNG official eSBR DSE name, which might be the cause of the bug
What does SR-TEC stand for? I assume it's something - Technology? Also, would you consider adding cam upgrades for SR-TEC engines at some point to change the crossover point or eliminate it entirely and run fully on the high cam?
cant accomplish this with how beamng's sound system works. each engine is paired directly to the sound, and that unfortunately includes the 'crossover' rpm i wish it was that malleable, trust me. though, i have added a cam profile slot for SR-TEC engines so you can now mix and match TECNICA parts more fluidly.
Ah damn, that's too bad. If only you could pair parts to sounds, or at least allow the sounds to adjust parameters of the main engine sounds.
I don't have those issues. Try savemode and install the mod. If it persists, i recommend to reinstall the game. these steps saved my game several times already.
feel free but please try to keep things grounded car suggestions are a waste of your time though, so dont bother with those
what does car suggestions mean? like an entire car from scratch with extra configs or just a extra part with its on config?
cool! In that case, 1 thing: ibishu pessima wagon body similar to this: https://www.beamng.com/resources/96-pessima-wagon.12102/
