hi, if I`m not wrong the update is zipped at the wrong folder level. I zipped it again and works! nice job, if possible add adjustable springs to the front too
I didn't express myself clearly when it comes to paint. The factory versions don't have a predefined color, so when you select them from the vehicles section, you can select the color as well. The public services vehicles will have predefined colors upon spawning, but you can still change color in the paint section. You can mix the military paint style if you want ^_^ As for the roof, it's missing the texture and some nodes, I keep telling myself I'll do it in the next update, but then life happens and it's not exactly a high priority thing in this mod. --- Post updated --- Shoot, you're right! I updated the zip file on the main post so others don't bump into this issue. Thank you very much for pointing it out!
Oh, thanks for the first part. About the second, could you please maybe just make an second zip with the Thing still in possibly? I know a bit about skinning but I only once tried moving things like that, and I failed
I was wondering what the deal is with the new beautiful tail lights on the autobello mid truck thing! I have to take it apart a bit to understand how it works first, because looking at the textures left me none wiser...
You need a PBR material, an emissive map and an emissive factor higher than 1, or 255 if you're in the world editor.
That seems just about perfect. I do suggest to reduce the bloom on the yellow/blue front lights as it currently is stronger than on the actual headlights.
Will do, thanks. I'll upload the updated stuff in the evening (I also tweaked the shape of the front around the mask, as I noticed my van is a bit more round and curvy compared to the ref images...weird how this is the first time I noticed that after 3 years). Note, that for these things to work, cache must be cleared, the game somehow holds onto the dds textures like crazy, and only clearing the cache makes it update, at least on my end.
Added bloom, latest is 1_10_23 zip file. LMK if something doesn't seem right. If you don't see the effect upon loading the car, you know what to do Should look like this:
the lights look fantastic now. the only suggestion I have is to maybe make the reverse lights as bright as the brake lights.
still would be a cool concept to put into the game, I'm sure any old European high-roof van would look close enough to this that nobody would really notice or care. after all, nobody looks at the roof of a van anyways
