reason to why it's renamed was explained on Repo post, and i'll repeat it again It's renamed to make it possible to make many types of vehicles using the same platform (car), and having different names on them. That's how Cherrier FCV is named, it's a platform, containing 2 cars in it for different purposes, and player's tastes.
So uh... yeah, i somehow achieved 100 KMs in this Offron. It wasn't for a test of the mod, or the engine, but it's just because i was driving for too long in the game. Here's a video as a proof, just in case someone doesn't believes me I will add a config dedicated to that, so you can experience driving that thing (with 12 litres in the fuel tank)
Some progress on the upcoming update, finally i managed to convert all hubcaps to PBR, but some of them will need to be changed a little bit, so they'll look fresh enough.
Apparently the dashboard of the 2000s version does not have a tachometer. Am I right? The author has put a lot of effort into this Mod, which is really diverse and well done. As a suggestion, it would be challenging to develop a 4-door version (grandron) or a 5-seater sedan (longron), who knows a pick-up (truckron).
Again, i won't be able to make either a 4 door version, or a sedan/saloon version of the car, it's just too small for it, besides, i don't to make it longer, just doesn't feels right to do that.
Bug: On the facelift 1 and two front bumper the lower grille is just jelly. Suggestions: Add an option to remove all plastic cladding/trim, if the whole point is to make it cheap, then why add black plastic. Also, add chrome trim to all bumpers.
In the next update there's going to be a RHD dashboard of 2000s version. --- Post updated --- For the next update, i'm going to revamp the USDM version of the car (also called "Americana"), with now featuring different front design, and side markers (same thing on the rear) A bit later, i'll also revamp the Indian version of the car (called "Inde"), that will change 1.0L 3 cylinder engine it uses to be more powerful, and adds new 3 cylinders too. And finally, for you all "rear seat fans", i'll add a rear seat, but not a usual bench like in Covet, it will be a single seat, so basically, it will make it a 3 seater instead of 4 seater. --- Post updated --- That's probably issue with unedited nodes on those 2 bumpers, since nodes on the bottom are floating instead of staying on the mesh. That's easy to fix. EDIT: Okay so i found out that's not the case, it's mostly due to not strong beams, that's easy to fix. You can remove plastic stuff by putting normal (not unpainted) bumpers, and then choosing "Body Colored Trim" in Paint Design. As for the chrome trim, i'll think about it, not sure if i really want to add LXM for 1996 facelift or 2000 facelift (i mean why 2000 facelift should have one, bruh)
For some reason the Antarctic config is invisible for me. Actually, all the Offrons are invisible. I think there are some broken parts.
Is it possible to add a "fastback Coupe" body, or maybe redesign the Couperon for it to have less of a sedan look to it?
