Hello all! New to forums. Anyways, my gpu and cpu really underperforms in Beamng. İdk why it does that, so i tested up some graphic settings and tested if it was from temperature. No its not. my PC is strong enough to run the game on Ultra graphics (Benchmarks and Youtube videos show that) but mine can only run Medium at 40 fps max. Specs: Cpu: Amd ryzen 5 3500 Gpu: Asus Strix Nvidia GTX960 2gb OC Motherboard: Gigabyte B450m s2h Ram: Corsair Vengeance LPX 8x2 16gb Game tests: (West coast) Ultra: Avr 25fps min 10 max 35 High: Avr 31fps min 17 max 38 Medium: Avr 45fps min 30 max 60 Low: Avr 75fps min 65 max 90 Lowest: Avr 130fps min 120 max 200 İ just want a 60fps dropless experience and idk why my gpu does can anyone help ?
I doubt that that's possible on ultra with that card and cpu. See my specs below, in my signature - they both can't run west coast at 60fps due to the crappy graphics cards. It seems your gpu and cpu are even worse than mine. If anything, both are overperforming past my expectations. Ram is fine, get a better CPU and GPU if you can.
you have an unimaginable pc to me! but in the meantime, im taking a look through gtx 1060,1070 and 1070ti; Amd r5 3600x and 5600x. they are soo pricy in my country though, so thats that. anyways, do you have some graphic settings u recommend me changing so i can get better results?
Hmmm... I'd bring tire marks down, lower the dynamic reflection quality by a bunch, make sure AI uses simple models, lower motion blur (adds to lag by a bit). That's all I can think of right now without making the game look like crap. To make it look better without much extra lag, download ReShade (use this tutorial - How to install Reshade (tutorial) | BeamNG) (These are my settings) And go into world editor and apply these settings if you want. This changes the look of the game quite a lot and makes it better overall without contributing to lag much (depending on the PC). Here are some results using the same or similar settings (on ultra, of course. However, medium or high aren't bad with these setting either). By the way, welcome to the forums!
GOOD Morning and welcome to BEAM.NGDRIVE and i say the game take lot of power to run i have to run on minimum to run ok so 40 FPS ok for what you have. CPU is better than ur Graphics processor at your specs above. so really if you really want it better i would start with a bettER GPU
I’ve got a 4GB GTX960 and your seem about right. If you want higher FPS, you’re gonna need a faster GPU as it’s the limiting factor. The rest of your PC can’t go any faster than your GPU. --- Post updated --- I’d also like to add that you absolutely do not need a new PC if you’d like faster performance, you should only need a better GPU. It’s one of the simpler upgrades that you can perform on you own. A GTX 1070 or 1080 will get you what you’re looking for, but I’d go for a bit nicer if you can find the cash. Look into similarly/better performing AMD cards as well, they will often be a significantly better deal than the equivalent Nvidia cards. I’d suggest maybe looking at an AMD RX5700 XT.
Completely agree, always try to upgrade components before getting a new PC (unless it's a laptop). GTX 1650 is relatively affordable and gets the job done.
id personally recommend just not enabling the dynamic reflections all together since that is a thing you dont really notice when driving, and also the same with motion blur (could just be my preferece) both settings are very cpu intensive, so just by disabling those i experience atleast a gain of 15 fps on medium settings. the game has advanced so much, that even the normal reflections look good enough and the car doesnt look like its made out of plastic. pre-pbr having reflections on was basically a need since every car looked like it was plasti-dipped
Didn't know that, last I used any setting below ultra was the time when disabling dynamic reflections made the car go into Automation mode. I agree on the motion blur thing, pretty sure I mentioned it.
And on maps without a default fake reflection image set your car appears super dark and weird; Even on normal maps it significantly changes the look of the car. Even the lowest reflection settings are better than nothing imo
