Re: General discussion chat Well, since my GPU runs so hot and uses so much power I figured out how to fix that. I can underclock it which does help, but I can't undervolt it. So I did the next best thing, lock it into a lower power state. So now it runs at 400/300 at .89v. (625/800 at 1.05v stock. Can be overclocked to much higher.) 65c after a bit of ETS2. (A bit under 90c at stock.) The framerate is terrible, but with lowered settings it should be good. I still don't know why dell decided to replace the FX 770m with this 1700m. It does have slightly higher performance because of a 125MHz higher core clock, but it uses 15w more and gets much hotter.
Re: General discussion chat 65c at the lower pstate. Just under 90c at stock. Those temps are after driving around for awhile in ETS2. Stress testing in Furmark gives slightly lower temps than that. - - - Updated - - - Well, I was playing ETS2 on the battery running the GPU overclocked. Windows was estimating ~45 minutes left of battery life. After forcing pstate8 my FPS went down to ~20 (Still playable) from like 60-70 but battery life expectancy shot up to over 2 hours. Temps dropped a lot too.

Mum and her dickhead ex husband whom I was bought up believing was my father but is actually some guy she didn't even meet until I was a year old got divorced. So, whatever. Except he twisted every degree of the law to ensure mum didn't get a penny in the divorce, then sold the house with us living in it, bought a fancy car, a flat and paid off all his loan debts. We got nothing. Single unemployed mother with no roof to live under. Fun times. There is hardly anyone living below the poverty line, but it is hardly anyone too many.
