There exists a lot of good mods, but then there's the bad mods that are from ModLand or any bad mod website you can think of, So whats the difference? Well here's reasons.

Good Mods like that Ibishu Claria made by a very talented modder named LJ74, it haves a good jbeam and its well made, Bad Mods like here's an example, if someone were to make the Banshee from the GTA games, they either have to jbeam the whole thing themselves, However they become lazy and they just grab the Bolide and they make a meshslap out of it, The result is completely bad as it does not look right and they made a terrible job on it) Worst they might make the bad mod themselves and make it paid, There exists good paid mods like that Signia which is made by the same person who made the Claria, As stated before if you pay for a meshslap then you realize that you made an idiotic mistake and you just wasted money on a poorly made mod.

The lesson is to not go after the mods at ModLand or World Of Mods because those are nothing but completely bad meshslaps and if you want to make your own mod you have to either have Automation (since some people are lazy to use certain stuff to make good mods.) Or have Notepad++ and Blender 3D and some tutorials of how to jbeam and since there is one tutorial but its old unless there is some new tutorials of how to make a car jbeam.

Please don't download mods from ModLand and World Of Mods or any other crappy BeamNG mod sites, Some may have viruses in them and that could be bad, Just go on the repo and look at good mods like the Ibishu Claria wagon and most other mods on the repo, There is some good car mods on the forum like that Bugatti Chiron and the Toyota 4Runner and that Land Rover, its the closest to having good real life car mods as the others were just plan crap.

There might be some other good lore friendly and real life car mods so have a list of them if you want, does not matter if its free or paid.

And remember if you're looking for a mod (example would be like the Vapid Bullet from GTA V) but then you realize that there is none or there is one but its a crappy meshslap, then you avoid it and have a better recommendation like the Procyon Centauri or that Ibishu Claria for an example or unless you try to make it in Automation even though it might not look accurate but at least it could be something.

Also there exists those Idiotic cringe channels on YouTube and TikTok like BeamngShorts for example, They also use those shitty meshslaps and they put anime clips with those cringy voiceovers on them.

Also here is an example like lets say someone likes the Coquette from GTA IV and they want in it BeamNG, However if they got the skills to make an actual car using Blender and Notepad++ and doing everything correctly, it will end up like this
    --- Post updated ---
However if they lack the skills, they well use an existing car like the Civetta Bolide for an example and then they make a meshslap out of it, The result is not very good as it ends up looking weird, and will have bad deformation and any other bugs and glitches as it will not look good.

Making a car mod in BeamNG is very hard as you need to know important knowledge of the physics and many other stuff as well having skills for Blender 3D and Notepad++ or a JBeam editor.

There is Automation which lets you make your own vehicles and is considered easy as some people really want to make their own mods but lack the knowledge and skills to it.

Remember If you want to make a good car mod, You need to know the basics of Blender 3D, Notepad++ or JBeam editors and the physics of the game.

Start small like making a prop like a cube and then make a cube with wheels once you get the hang of it.

If you want endless supply of real life car mods, modland and other crappy websites way to go though. Yes they crash bad and most of the time drive bad but they have good models and they look good for taking photos. If you are not always searching for dev quality mods, those websites are pretty useful.

I can never understand why the heck people play BeamNG of all games to make car photos, go play Forza instead, it has better graphics

Same thing here. Why do people want "good looking cars" that don't behave like real ones in a physics-based game? Like what?
If all you care about is pictures then go play Forza or AC.

I Agree with yall, why the hell they want "nice sick cars" to take random nice car pics in a game that is focused on.... PHYSICS?
If yall think EVERYTHING in this game in graphics for pics, go play NFS heat, and dont come back saying "da drifteng phsyics are bad i canot taek pics while drifting!1"
im not saying ANY pic posting is bad, im saying WHY THE HELL DO YOU WANT TO TAKE COOL PICS IN A CAR SIMULATOR BASED IN IRL CRASH PHYSICS?
with that said, if you're a picture lover for cars, go play NFS heat, NFS Payback, Forza and AC (or ACC)

The logic is that if you only care about pictures and nice cars, Forza and AC both have better graphics and a much bigger real-life cars selection that don't require you to browse shady websites.

BeamNG is a physics sandbox, and made its name with its soft-body physics. Using crappy meshslaps of real-life cars is just an insult to the purpose of the game directly and makes zero sense if all you care about is nice cars and photography.

Damn, developers added photo mode for a reason guys. Just because there are better looking games doesn't mean I should only take pictures on those games. Can't believe a simple basic and innocent opinion triggered you so much.

not the reason to get crappy mods on modland and disrespect the game & author and say its "innocent" while they are impacting on the game and giving you viruses
