Do I need more ram ?

Hi,
I recently saw that the game recommends 32gb of ram, knowing nothing about it, I wanted to know if it is useful for me to buy more ram or if some other component of my computer will block and will not so that the purchase of additional ram is highlighted.

You should be fine with 16 gigs but if you really want more ram you can upgrade it, nothing can really bottleneck the ram.

 

Ok thank you, but by improving my ram, what will I gain in the game? And my CPU is not going to be limiting ?

 

You might be able to spawn more cars, but your CPU might slow your game down before the lack of ram does. You'll have to test using the performance graph (shift+ctrl+f), it'll tell you what is the bottleneck at the top.

 

The graph says the bottleneck is the GPU, so does that mean having more RAM would be wasted money for this game?

I have 32GB and I usually see above 16GB of use in BeamNG, this with no traffic.

Maximum usage I saw was around 24GB of RAM, but maybe my high usage is because of my GPU bottleneck that I had.

(And yes, I had only BeamNG open and had this high of an usage)

 

Spawn A LOT of traffic cars and see what is the bottleneck
