@Agent_Y Would it be ok if I uploaded the train wheels setup for this? There's no config, just the jbeam for proper positioning.
Thanks. Credit to @Blijo for their Universal Train Wheels mod as well. The wheels don't "exactly" fit, the axles aren't quite wide enough & the 'nodeArm' bit is probably wrong but it works. Well, mostly, unless I'm doing something wrong there are no brakes or they just don't work well. Either way it's fun to use. For anyone wanting to use it, subscribe to Universal Train Wheels & add the file to your mods folder, then just follow the instructions on the main mod page. File moved
I managed to recreate Camodo's config and based on it I fixed all the issues that he had with the car (parts breaking off too easy and weird wobbles). I would have never guessed myself that combining the Group B wheels with the wing would cause the rear fascia to come loose, thanks Camodo for testing that for me lol
It is crazy the combos you can get with this mod. I've been spending some free time coming up with some crazy configs with it.
I have had a blast so far building my car. Only issue I ran into (skill issue on my part) is that my rear wheel axles immediately break when I try to make a RWD car. Still having fun poking around and figuring things out.
You probably haven't equipped rear wheels stabilization, another thing that I should have probably made equipped by default In 0.27.0 the gun was broken but since 0.27.1 it works again and there is a key binding for it, should be G by default
I hope too but the setup is super weird, imagine a pre-war suspension but with coil springs and sliding columns in the middle instead of a leaf spring, and the bottom can also rotate around an axis made by the bottom of the columns... On a real car it would be a terrible idea, but on this one hopefully not.
