Update Speculation thread

Forum remaster, with modern UI and automatic dark mode. Mark my words.

 

A uni-body ute certainly would be a welcome addition, different enough to the D-Series and would open the possibility for a modern SUV on the same platform. Although I'm wildly moving more into vehicle suggestion territory rather than update speculation with this.

Mainly teasers and updates come after 11:00 Japan time

 

Waiting for the photo of the Autobello bello being towed out of a ditch with a rope by one of the new trucks, with a trail of erode behind the wheels. While the teased ATV-like vehicle is floating in amphibious form in the background.

 

So here is an idea i've just have thinking about the precedent teasers. We will get a fire truck, a desert-ish map so here is the fire element... maybe a rework of the fire is in WIP phase. Secondly, the fire truck and the little 6X6 or 8x8 have one big thing in common... WATER. As water and fire have some weird comportment in the game, it could be a possibility that they got a rework.

Now, my idea aside, just imagine a teaser today where we just see a fire being extinguished by water with physics reworked of course

I doubt there would be a fire rework but water physics might be possible.

 

im pretty sure that somewhat recently we had a dev say theyd been begging to add a firetruck for ages but it wasnt happening any time soon, partly because of the water. so i highly doubt either are coming now

All I want for Christmas is Tire thermals, come on, devs told it was coming for 0.26 but then they suddenly gave radio silence about this feature and it has been this way since, It's probably on the works and would be great to pair with the ETK widebody (GT3esque car and tire thermal + Racing = fun)

Looking forward to seeing the teaser today, still hoping for tyre thermals or a clue to the release date

 

A clue for the release date would be cool but it is very unlikely tbh

 

We at least know its likely to come this month I suppose, I just like having specific dates because it makes me excited

 

Looking at previous teasers, they all came out between 2PM and 5PM German time, with most of them being at 4:30.
It's currently 2PM there, which means it should come out in the next 3 hours or so

 

Are there any chances the update will come today? (Or later this week?)
I think it would make a lot of sense, giving time for a bigger bugfix and another vehicle or some treat right before Christmas. If it's not this week then next one is already the week before Christmas, not really leaving enough of a gap in middle to space out the updates, in which case there would not be much sense to have two.

 

personally i'd rather have a fully finished update with the van and everything, but the way they seem to be doing updates recently with a part 1 and 2 with part 2 having the second "main feature" of the update i'd rather they just dropped part 1 now
