Nah, already remastered. Also, apparently map remasters are done.

    The teaser.
But Utah has been already remastered in 0.18.

Yeah, got it. I just got a bit confused because my mind went to one of the two absolute best V6s to ever grace our world (with the other being Alfredino Ferrari's V6)! ;)

I always thought we'd get a new truck before a new bus, but this is still pretty good.

The name might be "Autobello Grande".

Mattone means both "brick" and, even though is a bit of a stretch, "big crazy one", I'd say it fits perfectly

If the van is front-engined, do you think we will see multiple levels of chassis ability, like the Gavril 15/25/35/45/65/75s? We could have everything from a flat-4 longitudinal FF city van to a dually box truck.

That's not necessarily true. IIRC someone here pointed out that there were files in the game referencing an "automation_test_track_v2".

    Legitimate name idea:
    Autobello Grandone
The piccolina's translated name is little car, or Piccola Machina. If you remove the "a Mach" part, you get Piccolina. The new van might be called Grandone, because "Big Van" in italian is Grande Furgone, and if you remove the "e Furg" part, you get Grandone*

Small Van would be Piccolone, but Grandone sounds better

*just found out that this means Whopper translated lmao

"Raggazone" sounds nice but there's an exhaust company with roughly the same name ("Ragazzon").

I am in love! :cool:It looks so awesome!;)

Speculating about the engine: It would require a pretty modern 3 cylinder engine for sufficient power output, especially so offroad. This vehicle doesnt look so modern.

There is also the reliability question which greatly affects such vehicles choice of engine options. Such offroad vehicles may face weeks or even months of sustained heavy duty operation so you want an engine with above average resistance to poor operating condition for maximum reliability. You also want an engine that can be serviced with well below standard equipment and workforce as better shops and mechanics may be hard to come by in the middle of nowhere.

What you want is an Inline 4 or Inline 6. Reduced mechanical complexity and generous displacement to power ratio means that this engine will not be particularly strained in everyday usage, leaving capability available for the very poor operation conditions it may face on a long expedition.

Flat engines and V-engines have 2 cylinder heads instead of one and can be harder to service due to the added mechanical complexity. They are also wider which reduces the space available from the sides.

A flat engine or V engine of course is not out of the question but imho we have more than enough V-engines in the game already. A V6 would fit in reasonably well, but V8 might be pushing it, assuming it is front engined which seems likely considering the snorkel in the initial trailer. If there is a V8, your mechanics are going to hate you for the tight space this will create.

So if it is not going to be an inline, it at least should be a flat engine and not yet another V-engine of which we have plently. It would also be more in line with the previous Autobello cars although I think that this will be significantly more modern than the "Beetle".

Theoretically it could have an air cooled engine, although I would consider it unlikely because again the usage scenarios of a heavy offroader make air only cooling challenging. High load low speed conditions are a strain on any cooling system but air cooling lacks the heat sink capability of a generous water cooling system that can compensate the waste heat of an overburdened engine much longer.

An diesel engine option would make a lot of sense. Perfect for the emergency services. A turbo diesels decreased comparable reliability is less of a concern for those than for real "expedition" vehicles because they have access to repair facilities without issues. Not to mention the rolling coal potential:p

I am really looking forward to this new vehicle and all the new content we are getting sometimes in the not so distant future:D.
