Update Speculation thread

I haven't thought about a Sahara map, that's a good guess. The devs mentioned they were working on a "sunny and dry" map for the next update. ManfredE3 made a full expectations list here.

 

I was thinking it could be somewhere in africa, especially if the piccolina and I-series are going to get more content added as well.
(going off the piccolina getting the class 5 chassis and presuming the new truck is an ETK)

 

I don't find it likely that we'll get both vehicles in the next update, it's possible we won't get either.

With the map situation, I still stand by my Australia idea, and I think it'll be a mostly flat 4x4 km map with both outback and more green areas, with the green areas having most of the developed land.

 

AFAIK there isn't a dedicated suggestions thread so I'll post this here (I am aware this isnt speculation) but I would really like a packed grandstand prop. Would really add to the immersion in some scenarios.

 

Both? certainly not if they not have increased staff in secret we dont know nothing about.
But none of the vehicles i find hard to believe...

they've had a tendency recently of teasing content not for the immediately next update, but the one after (like we saw with the MR turbo, ETK K bodykit and iirc some scintilla teasers).
considering (I think) jared works pretty much solo on the custom offroad vehicles, and he'd currently be working on finishing off the autobuggy, there's no way we're going to also see the Brophy Bruck in 0.27.
I wouldn't be surprised if this whole map and associated vehicles thing isn't until 0.28, and as i've suggested before, it's possible that jared's gone ahead and modelled the Brophy Bruck based solely upon the design sketches of the presumed Brickup Bruck, since it's not going to share anything other than the engine.

My guess for the scheduled release of the content is the following:
0.27: ETK K/Piccolina content pass and mild remasters
0.28: ETK Pinzgauer, New map, perhaps an I-series remaster
0.29: Brick up Bruck+Brophy Bruck

 

yeah this could be possible, seeing as we have only seen the work in progress designs. I wonder if tire thermals will land in 0.27 as we haven't heard much about them.

 

Oh yeah, it would be Australia, is hot there.
But also, well thought of not having two new vehicles in one update, but maybe in 0.27 we will have the pickup on a hot map, and in the next update, 0.28, we will have the fire truck, but now I'm wondering, if the game already it's been 4 years without any new official maps, maybe it was a really big map, bigger than Italy, like Roane County, American Road and River Highway, or maybe on two maps? A hot map, and maybe a soviet map, maybe Russia or Ukraine (Russia maybe not because of the problems that are happening recently) as we will have a soviet fire truck, like 0.15, when the map of Italy came, we had a italian car, the Autobello Piccolina.

I hope the devs take their time with the ETK van, there is so much potential.

That's definetly the Piccobuggy. Same plate bumper, front shock hoops, etc...

I wonder if the Piccolina was just a test bed or this will use some Autobello parts (engine and maybe a fiberglass shell shaped like the Piccolina is probably the most overlap this would have)

Looks like our first dedicated platform that isn't street legal, that's a big precedent for future content with countless possibilities for the future. Dedicated race cars, heavy equipment, etc...

 

This is the class 5 Autobello buggy that was accidentally left in the files pre hotfixes for 0.26.

I believe that it won't need anything more than the 1.5 F4 in tuned form (Stage 2 Performance Long Block, Race Twin Carburetors, Stinger Exhaust). Although some V8 swaps (for example, the smallest Gavril V8s, which are the 4.5 and 291ci ones) could also be possible.

I like the idea of Africa with the off road cars and ETK focus. Maybe the I series remaster has a diesel wagon like the super popular diesel Mercedes wagons in Africa? Plus you could do another Group B version to go with the Covet and Bolide and then give 3 Dakar version of those Group B cars to fit the Africa theme both with the safari rally and Dakar.
