Dynamic weather is actually what I’d like to see the most in beamng! Would open up so many possibilities
But the documentation for moders itself is provided by developers and thus far can be described as “official content”.
i just wanna say i like Chicken Wings and that i speculate on a complete ETK vibed overhaul not just one or two of them. Would make sense atleast since the I-Series aged really bad.
I totally agree here. They all need ground up remodeling. Especially proportions seem quite curious and also interiors require real attention. In terms of handling they mostly feel quite secure on the road but at the same time a bit blunt and one-dimensional. Sure they all slide very well but it doesn’t make them much closer to dynamic prowess they theoretically should represent. It’s either understeer or full on oversteer with unrealistically little body movement and disappointingly little playfulness. Edit: Also I feel like k-series remaster is a perfect excuse for first in-game retractable hardtop
Yeah you are totally right! i couldnt quite make it up but now you said it i agree. they should be snappy, responsive handling machines but feel quite underwhelming and just dated at this point. But what is really a shame is the I-Series its just such a great car with so many potential but it just lacks the refinement and the content for it nowadays. I really hope they let the Sauerkraut mobiles shine like german engineering should in the next update!
Exactly. I'm curious about seeing what updates the ETKs will be getting, especially in the upper and lower ends of the engine list of offerings. --- Post updated --- The I-Series and K-Series certainly need some reproportioning. The former is a bit too slab-sided and the latter has a weird relationship between the C-Pillar and the rear deck area. The 800-Series looks just about right, I'd say, but if it gets a Sedan body (which I'd love to see because it would fill in a prominent niche in the BeamNG lore), the proportions of the rear end have to be adapted. As for their handling, I don't find any negative points. They're all balanced and light on their feet (or wheels). What you're describing is probably the classic vault-like feeling of all German vehicles.
I agree with you but not in the handling part. I had multiple first gen Audi A8 V8´s and none of them handled what you described and that was a luxury full size sedan! Not even the base model FWD 3.7 Liter i first had of the three was like that. Something feels really off with the I-Series to me atleast.
So you're greatly accustomed to how German cars drive. I haven't driven any German car, so my opinion is purely based on magazine/internet/television reviews and my feelings from seeing how each German car moves on the road when it gets past me or when I get a taxi made in that country. But I still have nothing bad to say about the handling of the ETKs. The only bad thing I must note is about the front suspension arms of the I-Series, which tend to lose their alignment on the inner wheel side after drifting at high speeds for a long time.
Yeah i live in germany so i got my fair share of german car experience! Well yes thats why i hope that the I-Series gets the treatment relatively soon.
The etk I Series and 800 Series could represent the behaviour of german cars any better in my opinion. Very controllable and easy to drive cars.
