Hi guys just wondering if anyone is able to help port an AC map to beam please?? I have tried blender and following the guide i found on youtube, but i'm having no luck, happy to admit that i'm a consumer, not a creator by any stretch of the imagination.
Could you send the video you were trying to use? It's possible that it might be wrong or outdated, though that's unlikely. Also, could you tell me what step you got stuck on? I can help walk you through some parts if you want
It was the tutorials from a bloke named UKDrifter on youtube, where I would get stuck is with grouping objects (part 2 of 4) https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLCh6l6gqdWwx1-HLm1JN1V7EMGPu8lwxL That's the link to the four part playlist. I'll admit the track I was looking to port over is a bit larger than the driftplayground map he was using but I tried following his procedure, but straight away there was differences, for example there was no spawn points in the AC map, which seemed weird. I did select the actual road/race surface and exported that as .dae just to see where that would get me, but when in track builder/editor i would bring up the asset browser and it would always just stop loading at around 48%, i left it for a while and zero progress. The track I'm trying to get is Sydney Motorsport Park. Its up on racedepartment Just add this at the end of their address-->> downloads/sydney-motorsport-park-eastern-creek.51174/
Had another try and I went a bit rogue by selecting more items (Concrete barriers/tyre walls/buildings etc) instead of just the track/racing surface. Also started fresh with a new template and folder in beamng, but again when i'm getting to asset browser it just gets to a point and stalls, this time at only about 9%.
