had to put away my logitech g27 wheel so i could do school work. This is with only two laps of practice on a broken 1st gen xbox one controller(the left stick is worn out and isnt very precise).

Heres me taking the higher end track focused GTs version around hirroci raceway back when i still had my wheel set up.

    car handles fine.

and im a shitty driver as you can see. i can only imagine what a good driver could do with this car

In nordschleife thread, there are people getting sub 6:10s which is insane
One has gone sub 5:50 as far as I know

A lot of people here have never driven a supercar around a track in real life and it shows.

Maybe a Frunk liner designed for the race hood?

Lol I don't think there is a single person here who has done it, not only supercars are extremely expensive, but also most people would be afraid of racing them because when they crash the repair bill will be ENORMOUS

That's actually a nice idea for making a track-focused variant (like the "GT Stradale", which I proposed in this thread and which has the Race Hood) more usable. :)

Well, looking at his profile pic, it seems like TDK has driven a group b quattro before, I say that’s pretty close ;)

They work with audi, maybe they could have driven an R8 ? The drivetrain of the scintilla is also based on it so that seems not too far fetched

Yeah... its usually pretty hard to get hands on experience with something most people have never seen, neverminded driven ;)

One could say I have "driven" a supercar... but it was only from my old neighbors driveway to his garage... grand total of probably 200ft at a max speed of 5mph. Sooooo... yeah... that doesn't account for much either :p. He paid me to wash the thing and then had me put it away when I was done. Had me do it to several of his cars several times so I guess I didn't do a bad job?

Other than that... the closest I have ever gotten would be either a First gen Viper, or my C4 Corvette that I have built... to within spitting distance of that Viper... but I don't think there is any supercar out there that makes less than 500hp... sooooo... I got nothing either.

Has anyone on these forums gotten a chance to drive anything like that? And like REALLY DRIVE the thing, not just on the freeway or tooling around on a backroad.

Here's a lap of the Nordshleife for people to compare to whatever they consider a real life counterpart. The car handles perfectly well IMO, even beyond the limit of grip (look at the corner before the Karussell). It's not often that you can use the throttle only to control a car's rotation.

First of all, amazing job with the car. A true masterpiece, just as you promised.
Overall I can’t fault it in terms of driving. The only thing is rear diff acts a little funny while sliding on the ffb wheel. I think a modern supercar should be a little more predictable in this scenario.
Graphically it’s also excellent. However the door frame seems rather unrefined. The area around the hinge is particularly crude with lots of weird cavities that should normally be covered. The “badly painted” part is also quite curious. I get that the effect is quite cool on the chassis and subframes but on exposed surfaces it’s quite unbecoming.
Also there is no door latch or door handle (just an indent) which brakes the immersion just a bit
Lastly I can’t seem to find fuel filler cap.

You’ll notice that the vast majority of vehicles that would have a fuel cap on the exterior body don’t have one, as I vaguely remember an explanation to why being that having the sides not match up quite completely makes UV mapping much harder because they can’t mirror the UVs and overlap them as it makes the sides not symmetrical.

This is a good explanation but the Ibishu Wigeon does have a fuel cap (as does the fantastic Ibishu Claria car mod, which truly deserves to be in the official lore but that's a different matter).

The fuel door on the Wigeon is actually a separate mesh from the body, so it doesn't mess with the symmetry of the body. :D
That's why the Wigeon is allowed a fuel door, while vehicles that have fuel doors flush with the bodywork aren't since they would require disrupting the symmetry of the body.

Hadn't really noticed that the Wigeon fuel cap actually isn't flush. Thank you very much! ;)
So the bottom line is that a way has to be found for making flush fuel caps without disrupting the bodywork mesh from side to side. This seems easy for unibody cars like the '88 Pessima, the Sunburst, the FCVs and the Bastion (since their rear quarter panels are separate parts in the Selector, offering both slim and widebody options, the respective fuel caps can be included in the parts menus - with different meshes for the left and the right sides), the SBR4 (since its fuel tank is up front, the fuel cap can be included in the front right fender, as is tradition) and the tub chassis supercars like the Bolide and the Scintilla (which both offer rear quarter panels of various designs and they also have one fuel tank on each side, so the respective fuel caps can be included in the said parts menus and the rear quarter panels can also share the same structure, albeit a bit changed due to the fuel caps). ;)
But it's gonna be hard for the Unibody cars like the Covet, the ETKs and, also, the BOF cars because all of them have their quarter panels as structural elements of their bodies.

    There are some exceptions though.
    1. The 50s/60s vehicles usually had their fuel caps protruding from the body, so the design and mesh processes are similar to those for the Wigeon fuel cap. The Burnside Special, the Bluebuck, the Miramar and the Barstow are the perfect candidates for such fuel caps.
    2. The chassis cab versions of the D-/H-Series can have an accompanying pipe connected to the 150l fuel tank on the left side, coming under the upfit, which is the norm - although the Ambulance Upfit requires a different pipe and a different mesh structure for one of the sides of the Ambulance Box because, unlike the rest of the upfits, this one does reach below the chassis.
    3. The Piccolina has its fuel tank inside the Frunk, so the fuel pipe can also be in there - the classic Fiat 500s and 600s had it this way. ;)

Yeah, I think the main issue is that they won't want to do it unless they can do it for every vehicle, and honestly they've made it clear that it isn't a priority for them. :p

I Think the Piccolina actually has a cap on its tank, unless I'm mistaken?

Their way of thinking is correct, it's a vital feature for all vehicles and since they haven't found a way of making it as of now, it's best not to harm any car structure by making mistakes.

Just checked it and you're right, the Piccolina does have a cap on its fuel tank. :)
