It was actually really easy to do and he was overcomplicating it lol, just reducing the distance of movement and then changing default position helped
Also, I never said it couldn't be done by anyone, just that I couldn't do it myself, since as Agent_Y said, I overcomplicate stuff most of the time and in the end, it was such a simple solution. But the main thing here is...even if I did say that (which would have been quite a bold and stupid thing to say since I knew someone could get it done) who cares? It's in, right? Enjoy the fixed shifter and stop, of all things, overcomplicating stuff, it's not going anywhere.
The car models on roblox are actually quite detailed. Theyre all the same as the models you can find on those 3d model websites. Basically the source of those models are the same as the ones used in other games like gta v and beamng etc. Its just the graphics of roblox and the materials that make it look badly made. Once you put it back into blender, its perfectly fine.
Great mod - though when I use the US headlights, the turn signals seem to not work right . When I engage the left indicator, the front lights blink as if I have the hazards on & when the right indicator's engaged, the texture for it does not change, rather I suppose the light (?) just turns on .
Sorry to bother you jorge, but do you guys ever plan on fixing the rake? It still leans forward very very noticably.
im really struggling to download the mod. it says the location doesnt exist i put it into the mods folder, vehicles folder, extracted it, i cant think of any other way to try doing it. it just never appears in game
In the launcher openthe second option (manage userfolder), click on open userfolder in explorer, go in the "latest" shortcut and paste the mod in the mods folder.
Thanks, fixed for the next update, both front indicators were sharing the same left position I'm sure @dumpling will know more about this than me, so any further improvements are on him as neccesary I think this is definitely a better way to guide people, I will replace the FAQ method so hopefully people can find the folder easily
I actually don't see it leaning forward. The original model's front-wheel distance relative to the front fender is shorter than the relative distance from the rear wheels to the rear fenders. The pitch is around -0.4 degrees and I don't think that's causing too many problems.
A few bugs I want to point out real quick, applying to the most recent version: When you first pause the physics and then spawn the vehicle (or pausing first and then resetting), you can see that the front portion of the vehicle is slightly lower than the rear end, as shown below. It might be either a visual issue or the front suspension during this instant, as when you unpause the physics, the vehicle appears and loads fine after waiting a few seconds. The shifter animation doesn't work too well when you engage in manual shifting mode. The more gears you go through, the further the shifter moves away from the shifter console. This one is a minor issue, but license plate registrations are saved on most configurations. In other words, the registration AWD-3360 will overwrite whichever registration the game had last used upon loading nearly every configuration. Colors are also saved on every configuration, meaning any color you select in the vehicle selection menu before loading won't apply unless it's the default paint color for that configuration. It goes without saying, but there are a few exceptions where certain custom configurations have the appropriate registration and color that are saved correctly. (These apply to the Defender mod by the way, except the registration IRO-5023 is present on most of them.) That should be it for now
About the manual gears, I don't think it's even supposed to have them as there is no place for them on the shifter, so it's rather a transmission issue. Also weird suspension compression on game pause is completely normal and intended for some offroad vehicles like this.
Hotfix is in, again, nothing critical, but enough to publish: Added an optional keyless steering column, on its own slot, being standard in configs with Start/Stop button (thanks to @bronco_x_runner ) Fixed fan radiator on the 2GR-FKS being rotated in the wrong angle (thanks to @boiskillhimmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ) Fixed intercoolers floating and not reacting to crashes in all I4 engines (thanks to @boiskillhimmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ) Fixed US headlights not having their proper signal functioning (Left signaling was only present in both sides) (thanks to @hzwastaken_ ) Fixed all configs having the same default license plate text and colors (Some configs have been deliberately left with a default custom color for look purposes) (thanks to @baarry5444 )
