Beam Edition status bonuses do not work for configurations that are set as the default vehicle. (Default counts as a separate configuration, to get the bonuses spawn the configuration from the vehicles menu.) I don't have a solution for this at the moment. Entering the pause menu resets the UI app, ending ongoing skill chains. I don't have a solution for this at the moment. If the vehicle is damaged after leaving the pause menu, the first skill chain will always break. Spoiler: Guides for hard-to-get skills and achievements Spoiler: Guide for skills Spaceship Easiest to earn with any JATO-equipped vehicle. It can be earned on West Coast, USA at the highest point of the city, using a ramp with maximum scale. Gridmap V2 has plenty of ramps and half pipes that makes it easy to earn. To avoid breaking the skill chain early by colliding with the ramp, Extra life can be useful here. 'Tis but a scratch This skill requires at least 25% of the beams to be deformed while the skillchain is active. This is also awarded if the skill chain starts while already damaged Extra life is also useful here and makes getting this skill easy. Kangaroo Easiest to earn on the sands of Johnson Valley with any off-road vehicle. Spoiler: Guide for achievements Going for the world record (500,000 score in a single skill chain) Unlocking Multiplier boost will make the multiplier go up to x7.0, making the final score even higher. Unlocking and driving a Beam Edition cars will give boosts to reach higher scores. Combining the Bolide Notte with Multiplier Boost will grant x10.0 maximum multiplier. Multiplier time boost will grant additional time before the chain ends from inactivity, possibly saving the skill chain. Extra life will also save the skill chain from a single crash. It just keeps going! (100 skills in a single skill chain) Unlocking Multiplier time boost gives more time to continue the skill chain. Extra life is good to have, so a single crash will not end the skill chain. Near Miss skills can be easily earned by driving across the highway of West Coast with traffic enabled. Off-roading on Johnson Valley is an easy way to get plenty of Air, Kangaroo and Two Wheels skills. If you notice any issues or have any suggestions, feel free to let me know!

I wonder if anyone could make Forza Horizon style tachometers and other racing UI apps in FH style for Beam... This looks cool!
Someone else already has, in fact, made a Forza Horizon 2 style tachometer! I recommend giving it a try, I found it to be great! https://www.beamng.com/resources/fh2-style-tachometer.21488/
That's a nice looking tacho! I think there could be more tachometers from Forza Horizon for Beam though, for variety
Ok, this is a pretty funny mod. Shame the UI in this game is so laggy tho. Drifting score seems too easy to trigger for me compared to FH and overall.
On my end the UI runs pretty okay, but it can be pretty laggy on slower hardware. I think I read somewhere that the UI runs at half the framerate as the game, not sure if that's still thing though. If the laggyness is distracting I can work a toggle into the app to turn the animations on/off, that might help a bit. If more people feel like the drift is too easy to trigger, I can increase the minimum angle required.
Okay, I see a number of you find it too sensitive. Currently it triggers at a drift angle of 15°, in the next update I think I'll look into increasing it to 30°, but I might have it revert to 15° once you start a drift so it won't end a continuous drift chain too easily.
Weird, how does it calculates the slip angle ? I tried it with the KLJP facelift sunburst offroad, does it calculate from the tires ? If so i turned the front wheels more than 15°
At the moment it calculates the drift angle by checking what angle the vehicle is going based on the current and previous coordinates, and subtracts the yaw value from it (which shows where the nose of the vehicle is pointing at)
I don't know, it's not horrible just kind of not smooth. 60 FPS or 800 FPS all look the same to me. Didn't test it much but to me it trigger pretty much on any grip loss like launching a car but I guess 15 could be low. Tested on fresh install with just this mod installed. EDIT: CEF fps is capped at 60 but it feels like 30. The game is uncapped running at 750-800 I don't really know why it feels so bad. EDIT2: The entire browser UI feature doesn't work for me either. It sends all the data but just doesn't render anything. I kind of give up with this lol.
It shouldn't be conflicting, all the data is taken from the data streams of the vehicle I made a hotfix, readjusted the minimum drift angle to 25° as well as fixing some bugs, awaiting approval at the moment.
Currently, pausing Physics doesn't stop the queued up skills from being added, and this allow you to pause right before a crash, wait a few seconds, and bank your skill points. I am not sure whether the best thing to do is patch this exploit or leave it
