Thanks for putting it in a way where some people might get the point now, if you drive with a wheel and know what you do, the Scintilla is amazing to drive. I think many players actually expect an arcade handling and don’t understand how the cars get tested and developed.

I also been doing alot of testing on the nurburgring and it made me realize how stupidly fast and recklessly like i am playing nfs while i am entering corners when in real life you would be more careful.

That settles it then. A 1000 lbs lighter car on racing slicks and with similar power only manages a second or so under the time of the Scintilla. Scintilla is very capable around a track!

Is the total engine inertia of the Scintilla 0.12? Why it feels like it revs so fast like the engine is much smaller than 5 liters? BMW made a simulation game back in 2007 of their 4.0 V8 and they put as engine inertia 0.26 kgms2 (same unit as beamng uses for rotational inertia) so this is why i wondered why the Scintilla had a total of 0.1 + 0.02 (the dct 7 speed adds this much) = 0.12 which is far below a much smaller 4 liter V8.

This same issue i have with the 6.5 V8 of the Bastion. It revs like the engine is very small.

For the Scintilla fast revving makes sense, if you listen to a modern supercar they rev super fast because of the crazy high quality and light internals. The Bastion probably should rev slower, should easily rev slower than than a BMW 4.0 V8.

The 4.8 V10 of the Lexus LFA climbed up the revs extremely fast (idle to limiter in just over half a second), so it makes perfect sense why the Scintilla's 5.0 V10 revs very fast too. They're both supercar engines after all, with the only difference being that the Scintilla (apart from being a fictional car) has a much more fitting and, overall, much better gearbox.

But was the 5.0 V10 based off the even firing gallardo engine or the 5.0 version of the odd firing 5.2 V10 from the Audi R8 which diamondback confirmed is the car the powertrain is based off? The 5.2 had slow rev buildup compared to LFA, CGT.

Didn't know of Diamondback's statement, tbh. Flatplane crankshafts are generally more preferable for high-revving applications though and it's apparent that the Scintilla V10 is such an engine because of its intake and exhaust designs, which are symmetrical. Usually, a Crossplane engine doesn't need its intake and exhaust to be symmetrical.

Dark Owl: smooth & quiet but gutless in 6th.

There's a review of that derivative you won't see anywhere else.

I love the dark owl, I know it’s getting unsettled by every single bump, breaking and steering movement but that makes it quite fun and challenging to drive. Furthermore, it looks AWESOME!

Noticed some Taillight and Front/Rear Reflector/Marker Light inconsistencies on some Scintilla variants and one issue for all road-going variants. As always, I'll be writing the wrong details in bold and italicized script.

GTs Polizia (EUDM): Clear Left and Right Taillight, Clear Taillight Bar, Clear Front and Rear Reflectors, Red CHMSL

GTx Spyder (EUDM): Clear Left and Right Taillight, Clear Taillight Bar, Clear Front and Rear Reflectors, Red CHMSL

Race: Clear Left and Right Taillight, Clear Taillight Bar, Amber Front Left and Right Marker Light, Red Rear Left and Right Marker Light (it should either have the full EUDM set or the full USDM one)

The only exception to this is the Dark Owl - Movie Car. The Clear Taillights suit the dark theme of this car perfectly but the USDM Rear Marker Lights are needed for the car to be visible - plus it's still a USDM vehicle, used by the Lens Flare Studios of WCUSA and powered by an American V8, so the Red Rear Marker Lights are even more important.

Also, something which all road-going Scintilla variants are facing: on both the Clear and the Red Taillights, during and after an emergency braking attempt, the adaptive brake lights and the hazard lights all over the body (front end, wing mirrors, rear end) don't blink on all drive modes. They're only turned on on Strada, Sport and Velocità drive modes and not on Corse, Drift and ESC & TC Off modes.

At first glance, it's kinda weird, given the fact that some other modern cars like the Cherrier FCVs (on Arsenic, Off Road and ESC & TC Off modes), the modern ETKs (on ttSport, Drift and ESC & TC Off modes) and the Hirochi SBR4 (on Sport+ and ESC & TC Off modes) do actually blink their brake lights and hazards. So I'd say that the most logical assumption is that the Scintilla shows that each manufacturer programs their systems differently, depending on the intended purpose of each car and how it's used (which, of course, is apparent because each BeamNG manufacturer makes different vehicles). ;)

Can we have the feature to adjust ABS wheel slip threshold in different drive modes? So we can have Tarmac, Dirt, Mud, Ice modes:D

I'm probably late to the party, but oh well.

I was skeptic about the Scintilla looking at the complaints about the handling.
It's exactly what I would expect a super car from that era to handle like. It's somewhat predicable with all the assists, you will find the limits sure but overall you very quickly start to feel the car. It's a very fun thing to throw around both a track and public roads.
Turning off the assists turns it into a death trap, just like it would if you did it in real life.
Another thing mentioned was that it should brake... better? I have to admit, I cannot see this at all.

It has a lot of power, it's fast, please don't expect you can keep the pedal floored like you're used to in a base covet.

Also some of ya'll should have tried the 2013 Civetta Bolide, talk about a car that wants to kill you lol.

it's weird that I have no issue driving a turbo laggy Group 5 Bolide but I can't make it 1 lap in this car, I have to throw an adjustable wing on the race config and tune it for max downforce to get any sort of speed/control out of it, though to be fair the Group 5 Bolide has a lot of downforce, my issue is likely me getting on the throttle sooner than I think I can, but by then I'm in 3rd, 4th gear and it still spins

Are you using automatic? If yes, don't for racing.
Also be careful and avoid shifting in corners, it can cause you to spin out.

Wheel, keyboard or controller? Which map are you trying to make a lap on? Which config are you using?

Well, Bolide's turbo is not laggy, in fact, is as fast as those in SBR4. FCV's turbo is really laggy.

I have a T300RS with an H pattern, a combination of shifting on corner exits and rolling onto the gas too early may be the problem, I can get it slowed down so understeer isn't an issue, the majority of my issues are in the exits of corners, I have always been fairly aggressive on the throttle and have been working on throttle control using the Bolide, I may just need more practice on cars with less downforce
    --- Post updated ---
seeing gameplay of it now yea, it's not as laggy as I thought, bad call on my part, but the power does come in quick and it will bite you on corner exits just not as bad as the Scintilla does, I figure with time I'll get the throttle control down in the Scintilla and be able to set a decent lap time
