And the update is here!! Not any update, but THE update, spent two days working on it, and boy the changelog is already a big work itself Added several optional Off-Road front and rear bumpers The way they work is simple, first you select the 4Runner cut bumper for the rear and/or back, and then load the off-road bit as an accessory, in order to keep something from the original bumper (looked badly with the entire thing removed) Since the nodes are uniquely named both bumpers can exist at the same time without any issues or instabilities, and also means the original plastic bumpers can still be pulled off and keep the off-road ones for example. One of the off-road front bumpers keeps the HF Antenna as an accessory. An Off-Road Extreme config is now included which also features a stripped interior among other details, including this couple of things below... Added Off-Road suspension For both front and rear, straight from the Roamer, and adapted to the 4Runner with all capabilities Shouldn't have any major issues, please me know about anything wrong or things to fix! Added Roof Cargo Basket All accesories (Lights, cargo...) are adapted and included Added a non-sunroof body Implies an optional interior carpet with the hole for the sunroof already closed is also available Standard in the Police and Extreme Off-Road configs Added Police Equipment Included all current accesories as of 0.25, adapted for the 4Runner, like every Light Bar available, grill concealed flashers and both Pullbars from the Roamer among many others Also included is a custom rear seat area, with security rear seats and door panels (to avoid bad guys being confortable and be able to lower the windows or open the doors of course) A Police config has been included, which features a BCPD skin, and all the police accesories already built in Main Slot Changes The stock antenna is now optional (can be added/removed via parts editor, is standard in most configs) The tow hitch assembly is now optional (can be added/removed via parts editor, is standard in most configs) An inner push bumper is now available for the very front of the frame (can be added/removed via parts editor, is standard in most configs) A SR5 specific grill is now available and of course standard in the SR5 Added optional handles Default painted ones are now separate from the doors but standard in most configs Now available as option are fully black plastic and chromed ones Added optional fully plastic door mirrors Added new chromed rear tailgate insert (adding to the already existing painted and plastic ones) Added shifter animation Works in P and D, but please be advised R makes the shifter move to a wrong position, awaiting possible help on this one! Fixes SR5 grill bar (below the Toyota logo) has been redone to improve the looks, which had a distorted reflection and allowed polys to be seen Fixed a node in the engine (itk2) falling after spawning any config with the V6 engine Fixed a gaping hole left in the car floor after removing the rear seats Solved Z-fighting in the lower grill area of both stock bumpers Fixed the positioning of all optional steering wheels Fixed rollbar ending at the rear seats position instead of reaching all the way to the trunk area Added some bits incorrectly associated to the front hubs instead of the front bumpers Fixed SR5 bumper shaking after adding the Forza bullbar Fixed every item attached to the tailgate inserts (keyhole, camera, lights) not being attached to them and being attached to the tailgate instead Improved the look of the steering wheel buttons Improved the look of the seatbelt knuckles Fixed some AO and textures issues
For me, the tinted glass is too dark, especially from the inside, this also includes the sunroof glass as well. Additionally, I think specific interior options should only limit to specific parts; like the TRD interior can only contain TRD interior parts instead of the SR5 ones. Great work anyway!
Thank you! Well, I based the tinted on the experience I get on my own car, you're not supposed to almost see anything from the inside from the outside (you can flip a bird to everyone in the street without being noticed ) and from the inside, you can see anything without restrictions, but with a very dark tint, that is. I feel a lighter tone/tint will defeat its purpose a bit... As for the parts, it makes sense but I think this approach is also nice, letting parts mix could make for a config or modified config build and or restored with any available parts So unless it's really messy, like the police interior parts being mixed with everything else, I don't feel it's that big of a problem, just my view, but I'm not closed on changes of course.
Well...what about other update? Lights update: Thanks to @rmendez011 for his help, creating new glowmaps and help identifying different functions Added US halogen headlights (In the first pic you can see one of the main differences, the highbeam acts as DRL and the signals also light up once the lights are activated (Not default for now in any config, but they are available in the parts editor) Overhauled the general look of the lights (After examining different approach I went for actual textures out of real lit 4Runners, to enhance photorealism as much as possible) 3rd brake light is now clear when is not lit Fixed positioning of pushbar accesories Fixed pushbars being selectable as bumpers (now they are only available as a bumper accesory) Changed pricing of new configs (thanks to @dumpling ) Slightly revised parts of new configs (thanks to @dumpling )
the us halogen headlight isn't actually halogen and doesn't emit any light at all vehicle is equipped with the us headlight and is turned on but there is no light visible
Oops...something went wrong there, thanks for notifying! --- Post updated --- Fixed Reuploaded the file
Hey everyone ! Still and will be a huge fan of this mod ! I made a shorts video featuring it and wanted to share it with the community ! https://youtube.com/shorts/ZK5xaogpozU?feature=share
Hey Jorge, I found an issue with the extreme off road version just hitting the rear bumper makes it go wild. Maybe a mod conflict?
Nice! Thanks for the support Honest mistake here, forgot to add the off-road bit to its own nodegroup, I updated the file with the fix applied, thanks for the report!
Thank you to everyone who contributed to this mod and worked so hard on it! I will say, this has got to be my favorite mod for BeamNG now.
jorgepinto announces when a fix for an issue has been released so far there have been none related to the transmission shifter so be patient
