Hey guys, Since there is a massive amount of car threads and almost nothing about bikes specifically, I thought this thread is a good addition. I don't know how many of you are passionate about them but I'm sure there are some out there. Just post some pics or talk about bikes you own and like/dislike. Some of my favourites: Ducati Panigale 1199 / Triumph Speed Triple Triumph Bonneville / KTM 1290 Super Duke BMW R nineT / Husqvarna Nuda 900R
This is what I ride, it still scares the crap out of me sometimes, plus it's gotten me arrested. Would love to see working bikes in this game, although I imagine actually getting them to behave like a bike with a rider would be pretty complicated.
Does this count as a motorcycle? (someone once said that if it's under 1200cc it's not a motorcycle )
Whoever said that is an idiot^^ I'd say as long as it has two wheels it's fine, I don't understand people who think bigger is better and show no respect to their fellow riders cause they only ride a 125 or 250cc,... A good rider can get the maximum out of every bike no matter what size it is. (Husqvarna FTW!)
I don't see why not, my dad owns an old Puch Maxi and I had a lot of fun with it, that thing even has pedals so it's more like a bicycle... awesome Shows that you don't need much to be happy (Just a google pic but looks pretty much the same)
heres my bike 2001 honda xl 125 v cant compete with other 15 hp bikes, but after 400km my back doesnt hurt
Got me this View attachment DSC_2196.jpg View attachment DSC_2197.jpg I still don't know what to get after that though, SuperDuke or s1000rr ?
if you just got that duke 125, you still have plenty of time left. are you by any chance from germany?
I think I read somewhere that this one is a really good touring bike and the dimensions feel more like a "big" bike compared to other 125cc bikes. Nice choice! My neighbour has got one too, with all the extra parts and a nice akrapovic exhaust, gotta love that sound And if that's a 2013 model, it even has ABS!
What do you guys think of honda grom? I'm looking for one. Since in Italy i can only drive 50cc-125cc at 16. I'm looking for a 4 stroke 125cc naked bike basically, is there something else other than Duke (which i dont like the styling) or Derbi Mulhacen?
then i kinda have to warn you. i was looking forward to buy a vfr 800, a v4 sports tourer, but it had like 98-112hp. in germany thats allright and you can restrict it, but if you want to drive around in other countries, like austria or maybe even italy, you are not allowed to ride that bike there because of a rule that says you only cant restrict motorbikes with over 95hp to 48 hp. This really sucks. - - - Updated - - - mine is quite heavy,165 kg , but if you want a nice naked bike/ tourer then the honda varadero might be just your bike. it even has a v2
I agree, if you want to ride in other countries just avoid any bikes that need modifications or restrictions. A litle story about my bike: I almost had to go through hell to get my bike (Suzuki Bandit 600) registered. The bike normally has about 57kW (78hp) and I was restricted to 25kW (34hp) when I bought it (stupid austrian law) so I installed the parts needed. That was in November 2012. In January they changed the regulations and I missed the opportunity to register it before, so I wasn't allowed to ride the bike with 25kW anymore because now you weren't allowed to take more than 50% of the power away which was now the case, so I had to buy a new 34kW (48hp) throttle valve(?) that was only available in Germany. And because of that I had to get a german permission that authorized me to use the parts here in Austria... After months of fighting and discussing with the authority for reasons I still don't know I finally got their permission and was able to ride in late July... yay.. Notice something? It was restricted TOO MUCH! I had to give it MORE power to be legally allowed to ride it! This whole system is a massive joke... And all the work for this... A bike you will see more often than a VW Golf.. (at least here)
I had a 2010 piaggio zip 50t. Got it brand new. CBT expired after 2 years and I sold it. Now onto cars. One day I'll get a full bike license again.
This boat of a scooter did, according to police, 95 Kmh. all i did was fitting a 62.5ccm malossi kit, a 17m carburator and a variomatic that was set up for acceleration. 3 seconds to 60kmh xD. loved that thing.
