Unlike many arcady racing game where the driver view and orbit view use different render texture(orbit camera unable to read the tachometer and stuff, driver camera can't see the driver), BeamNG's camera/render is seamless, and does not distinguish render regardless of camera position. Thus, adding dummies will screw up the interior camera.

Airbags are currently not feasible in the quality and fidelity we would want them to be (we tried...) and there is currently no work happening on changing that.

You could just hide the dummy's head if the camera is in driver position.

The dashboard's redline is at 4,000 something rpm for me and starts flashing after that even though the engines rpm goes to like 8,000. Not sure if its a bug or if ive missed something. The one in the trailer didnt look like that.

Also please add power steering. Its too stiff.

It's because the engine is cold.

Oh ok. But why isnt the rpm slightly raised when in P gear when its cold cause cars irl have their rpms raised slightly to like 2,000 when the engines cold.

Oh, The "Scintilla" name come from here!
If we drive away from tacho recommendation, the gauge is scintillate in red&white. So, they called Civetta Scintilla! (because nobody respect the RPM recommendation)

just letting you know that if you dont want to change FFB for all cars you can change it in tuning > chassis > setup specific force feedback multiplier

Yea i know about that feature but like the power steering also affects the handling. Ive kinda temporarily fixed it myself by adding it manually into the scintilla suspension file, still feels kinda weird but much better.

I'm pretty sure the reason that all official vehicles don't equipp power steering by default is the effect of power steering can be achieved by adjusting FFB level.
Since most player never driven a non-power steering vehicle, they would expect the in game cars' FFB be tuned in a way that feels like their IRL cars(with power steering). Drive a non-power steering IRL and tune the FFB in BeamNG to feel the same way as said non-power steering car, then add power steering in BeamNG cars, is not practical for most of the players.

Love the car but I gotta say it’s quite a handful around corners. The high end sbr4 still handles way better and I’m consistently quicker on tight twisty circuits(and that’s using the manual sbr4 not the quicker DCT) but maybe it’s just the fact that the new car is way quicker and I’m used to driving a actual manual and not a dct.

    1. Literally all computer models have to be triangulated to be rendered properly. That's not why it deforms poorly, it's because it's so high poly, and personally I prefer the high poly beauty and poorer crash results to lower quality models and higher quality crashes.

    2. The Scintillia is a pain in the ass to drive but if you master it it is beautiful around the track. Yes, the braking performance is poor, in fact so poor that i regularly go off track because the car is so underbraked compared to its horsepower and grip levels. Yes, it understeers, and oversteers, but that can be managed. This is not a car you decide how to drive, it only works one way, and that is when it is at exactly it's limit, both mechanically and tire grip wise. An inch above the threshold, or an inch below, and you risk over or understeer- but if you stay at exactly the limit, pinned at the cars performance redline, so to speak, it gains wings around the track. You can't decide how to drive this car, it decides for you and you have to listen to what it wants and respond accordingly. If you can't muster that, you will crash.

It needs a ton of improvements (i'd also like the gauge cluster to not be such a garrish red as it kinda hurts my eyes whilst driving), and it is certainly a handful, but that only makes me love it more.

It's a beautiful, powerful, pain in my ass, and I wouldn't want anything less than that.

I just want to personally thank all of you for this masterpiece of a vehicle. 0.25 is amazing, its unthinkable how far this game has come.
To the mad scientist who let us think up creations like this and let us drift, race, and crash it over and over again the work is unreal.

(More diesel exhaust option's please <3)

Yes, bind key to the passenger doors... Or use mouse on doorhandles to open them.

First off, I gotta say that this car looks amazing and has great straight line performance. That said, I feel like the handling and braking could use some work. This car seems to have pretty weak brakes and this car has a strong tendency to understeer. I notice a lot of snap oversteer at times when trying to correct a slide, and the ESC doesn't seem to help. Maybe I'm just bad at cornering or whatever but I haven't really had this issue before with other cars, at least not to this degree.

I found this cool unused V8 exhaust, why is it not used on the Dark Owl? Would have made it cooler
