I just hope that they finally started working on the automatic transmission problems, these issues have been there for so long... I can't imagine how terrible the Scintilla will behave if there is still these sketchy and brutal DCT or totally irregular TC transmissions mounted on it.
Same for me, I love using the vanilla cars as they drive/ look the best and I absolutely love beamng for racing as well, haven’t played any assetto Corsa i play on keyboard and/or wheel, 60% of the time on keyboard
yeah i wish the DCT drive mode would be chilll and sport mode would be agressive they could even use the agression value depending on your driving style --- Post updated --- ive played asseto i prefer beam
I usually play on keyboard and only do mod testing on wheel, it's because I got used to it after not having working FFB and having to use keyboard for months before I discovered that my super old wheel somehow has FFB.
I do hope they fix the automatic and DCT transmissions, they're basically unusable without @default0.0player's wonderful mod if you're using pedals. Either way, I pretty much exclusively use manual in BeamNG because the simulation is possibly the best in any game to date - so there's no excuse for automatics to lag so far behind in quality, is there?
Do you think update: today tomorrow thursday or next week It's not meant to be a nagging question just a poll....
I play racing games on the keyboard and since the game I got my first computer, that is from 2009. After so much time playing various racing games, I have to admit that the BeamNG on the keyboard is nice. You don't have to get tired, as in other games, the controls do not suddenly set your wheels at an angle of 45 degrees (as in Assetto). In BeamNG, everything that can be done on a controller can also be done on the keyboard. For me, it's a faster way than connecting the controller or connecting and adjusting the steering wheel. Spoiler The only thing I miss in BeamNG is the phone app, I would like it to come back with a lot of improvements such as controlling lights, shifting gears or even controlling the entire interface via the phone. The app gave something like a steering wheel because the control from it was more precise than from the keyboard and controller.
As for the DCTs, apart from the issues I noted in the powertrain thread, my only other gripes are two. The omission of the backfire sound effects during the DCT gearchanges and letting off the throttle on the FCV Vivace 230S and the S 350Q/S 410Q Arsenic versions. The backfires set the sporty 230S apart from the more pedestrian 160 version, with the same powertrain. And the 5-cylinder engine is the only one to not feature the epic backfire effects it did when the FCVs arrived in 0.19. The twin clutches hold up phenomenon when the R is enabled during accelerating forwards and pushing the gas (and vice versa, with the D being enabled while going backwards and pushing the gas), the revs rise to the limiter, then the engine reaches idle and then it accelerates after holding the revs at around 4000. And this is true of all DCT gearboxes in BeamNG. Hope these two also get fixed. As for the first issue (the backfires), here's what I mean. 230S: @7:37 - 7:53 5-cylinder versions
