Four people bothered to click the agree button when I said that the next update is this update, so I think there's some ambiguity.

How could you raise too much hype? Hype doesn't mean broken expectations, or people rampaging the forums, it just means people are excited for the update and the features it brings to the game. Not sure what would be bad about that.

I don't see any adjustments in career mode that would effect single player, since it doesn't inherently require changes to the physics or gameplay save for the career mode itself, so I'm not sure why this would be an issue?

I think I expressed myself wrong here, what I tried to say is that having 2 HUGE things (actually 3 if you count scratches and dirt accumulation) in only one update would take away a little of the glory of the future ones, would be great to have everything in 1 update? Yes, but see how much tdev confirmed already, having all of these things in one update would be insane to debug all of the combinations, and in my point of view, makes more sense to release the career preview on 0.27, as they'll have more time to work the tire thermal and dirt accumulation for the career and not have to rush things as much

I'm interested what we can expect from tire thermals. Obviously, it's not just about the surface temperature of the tires but how the temperature acts on the tire pressures.
Will be there tire wear? Will be possible to choose old/new tires from the parts list? Will camber affect the inner/outer edge of the tire ? Will long burnouts, drifting or high stress driving cause tire explosions?

Probably yes to most of these, except old and new tires would make the tire selector cluttered, better a tuning slider for tire wear like there is for brake force

I imagine they'll only commit to releasing both at once if they're confident that the two are both ready for the masses, even if they're not finished. :)
It is also a good idea to get feedback from the community on such huge improvements and changes, so I imagine that's at least part of their reasoning for it.

It's also a good idea to release features for both career and non career players, that way there's still content for people who don't care about the career more to enjoy. :D

The turning slider (a la DTM, with its trademarked circular knob for the TC) will also be good for when carbon ceramic brakes get implemented, because we will actually be able to find their bite point while adjusting the force. Carbon ceramics are known for this because they usually don't respond to the light depress on the pedal.

Since tdev's q&a, opening this thread is just full disappointment :(

If we hype too much, we might get another progress report

Honestly. I don’t get how even after (essentially) a massive leak from tdev, we still don’t speculate based on actual evidence

Probably because we've already discussed all the evidence there is, unless you have new insights

Not really. Career mode confirmed, scratches confirmed, new sound system confirmed, no speculation about what any of these mean or how they would work.

??? There's been plenty of discussion about that, plus there's not much to go off of other than that it's confirmed. And yet, somehow we know more about what's coming in 0.26 and 0.27 than we do about 0.25

In fact, I get the feeling the developers aren't really happy with 0.25 per se, probably because most of what they planned ended up taking too long even for the 6-month target and had to be pushed back. That would leave them with an update they have to release, rather than the one they wanted to release - devastating for a team that generally prides itself on only releasing content when it is complete, although the alternative would be to go much longer without any updates at all, and nobody wants that.

Also, it would seem they're testing on Steam for Linux!

Yknow I think the devs might just be proud of themselves for remastering the Covet and building the games first modern supercar, as well as the development and release of other features we have yet to discover- And even if they aren't, I still am!

Man's just trying to play nekopara in his own time, I still don't get why everyone on this forum believes every single thing ever done by CK is some secret beamng leak hinting at updates, the devs are normal people with lives outside of beamng subliminal teasers
