I have a thread for it in Land :D

And that's so true. BeamNG is one of the most detailed games I have ever played if I am honest :p

I can't agree with #1, I kinda like the grille.
    2. YES!
    3. I have heard a rumor of a tow truck bed for the D45 ;)
    4. I actually agree! I've never seen a farm hand truck with sides on the deck, or a deck, or a perfectly undamaged front end xD
    5. I mean, It is just a game, they add configs for almost every factory possibility. Altho, the D15 crew cab long box is unnecessary lmao

Tried a search but didn't find this mentioned anywhere. The node/beam debug view disappears if you remove the engine from the Dseries.

At least a few of those crew cab configs really should be Kentarch conversions opposed to factory offerings.

Has anyone else noticed that there's a config for a D25 Dually? No truck manufacturer has ever sold a dually 3/4 ton. That config would be much better to replaced with a D45 pickup with the diesel, since that config is missing. I find it very odd that a config of a non-existent vehicle class (dually 3/4 ton) exists. If you have tried loading up a gooseneck trailer with cars or props in-game, you'll notice that the D35 quickly gets weighed down and needs the D45 springs in order to not sag all the way down. Granted, only one 1.5 ton pickup exists, the F450. Still, it is much more realistic than a 3/4 ton dually, which would only be good for towing tall gooseneck travel trailers due to the relatively low towing capacity and wide track for stability.

Even better than a D45 config would be a utility upfit to replace the long bed, or a vanilla gooseneck trailers.

Yeah the engine situation is weird with the D Series. you have one side where it's a little advanced (OHC V8's when all real life equivalents even the F Series were OHV V8's), but yet backwards with the I6 (excluding the OBS F Series).

The biggest problem I see with the D-series at the moment is really the lack of the diesel gauges - the redlines are no where close to matching and make the thing almost useless.

You're right, the lack of diesel gauges is obvious for when the 6.0 Turbodiesel V8 is used in its factory states of tune (I use plural for the word "states" because there are three of them, the 'Early', the 'Stock' and the 'Late' one). The only scenario where the existing tachometer gauge is useful for the 6.0 Diesel is when you tune it by putting the Stage 1 Performance Long Block and maxing out the RPM limiter to 4500. Then the 6.0 Turbodiesel comes close to the engine with the second lowest limiter, which is the 6.9 V8 (with its limiter @~4800RPM).

There is a mod called pre facelift gauges for d-series and adds a diesel gauge. But yeah I do agree that it needed to be added in the 2 updates the d-series.

5000 max value and 3500 redline right?
    --- Post updated ---
    I have many ideas:
    1. A base V6 (something like a 3.9L) in the 92-97 and 98-03 facelifts. I find it odd that in 1992-1997 and 1998-2003, the 4.1L I6 would be still into production, when in IRL, in 1997, I6 gasolines were finally phased out. But currently, it could easily go only into the 86-91 pre-facelifts.
    2. A diesel I6.
    3. Delete the two D25 Dually configs. I hated when they lied that no 3/4-ton truck IRL existed with dual rear wheels.
    4. Tow mirrors like these ones for the facelift models:
    U9GMGEA1.jpg
    5. A front bumper like this for the D45's, and maybe fascias based off those two:
    1992_Chevrolet_C3500_Tow_Truck.jpg
    k-1500-series_regular-cab-pickup_cheyenne_fq_oem_1_500.jpg
    6. A D35 Rollback Upfit, Cargo Box Upfit, and Ambulance other than just only in D45's.
    7. XT trims.
    8. A trim level based off the Silverado.
    9. D25 Diesel configs.
    10. 4x4 decals.
    11. An off-road package based off the FX4 and Z71. I'd say it would be either GX4 (beginning in 1998-2003) or D94 (beginning in 1992-1997).
    12. Possibly an earlier or late Dually and Stepside bed?
    13. Late heavy-duty mirrors.
    14. GMT800-present style roof lights (aside from "Cat Roof Lights" found on iRetr0x's mod).
    15. A 4-door short Charro like a Tahoe/Yukon other than the Roamer.
    16. 19.5-inch heavy duty wheels.
    17. (SVT) Lightning-inspired configs in both 1992-1997 and 1998-2003 models.
    18. Harley-Davidson-inspired configs.
    19. More Charro and Kentarch configs.

These are some pretty good suggestions for the D series. The D25 Dually configs should be deleted, or replaced with a D45 pickup, which, while only Ford makes an equivalent to that, is more realistic. However, a D35 with an upfit would barely be able to handle any cargo. At this point, we'd need a configurator to spawn the D series. Something where you can choose D15/D25... then your cab/bed, and then which generation of D series, followed by the trim level or upfit.

I would love to see a naturally-aspirated V8 diesel in the 86-91 models. It would expand the possibilities of making new configurations (and make everyone who drove a truck with these engines angry, since old NA diesels were sluggish, hahaha).

I DRIVE an IRL NA diesel (Volkwagen 1.9D) . They're not sluggish, they have all the meat between 1k an 2-2.5k rpm, beyond that, you have to set your sails correctly to cach a tailwing. Still fun AF in a small hach. Something about how mechanical it feels... Also the Manual transmision, that helps a lot

Yes, but I imagine it's in a kind of a small and light car (such as the Golf, the Polo, or the Pointer/Gol), or even a light truck (such as the Saveiro), not a 2-ton truck such as the D-Series, hahahaha. In this case, the engine does not feel sluggish

though a >6.0 litre IDI engine would be quite different to a VW 1.9...
