Yep, it was a 1.5 Inline-3 with a huge turbocharger to make 231hp plus a 131hp electric motor up front (plus a small one between the engine and the 6-Speed automatic transmission for building up the boost faster for the big turbo to work). Yeah, the new Civetta is gonna be amazing! I can't play any map larger than the Gridmap V2 with the equipment I have (which is a 10-year old laptop with an anaemic set of electronics), so for now I'll be checking the handling, the sounds and all the components and component combos at Grid, Small, Pure! Let's hope cryptos get shattered once and for all and never come back from the dead!
The Beam Team says developing a Hybrid system is difficult because they must find the algorithms for it to work. Plus Hybrids are available in various different versions (Mild Hybrid, Full Hybrid, Plug-in Hybrid and, purely for racing applications, Flywheel Hybrid/KERS) and various different powertrain configurations, so the algorithms must take numerous factors into consideration. The electric motors return some energy to the batteries during deceleration though, so there's still a glimmer of hope in the Hybrid chapter in this game!
idk if ive imagined this but didnt they make a statement about hybrid systems somewhere before? Modders have managed to integrate hybrid systems before as well (maybe not to full dev quality tho)
Just noticed this: that tube has always been there. It's there for helping the high riding vehicles to clear that big stair step!
I will say what I’m getting from the newest teaser is that it will likely be Huracan/R8 sizing based on the wheelbase so it’s not likely to be a halo car supercar, more like the entry level supercar.
I mean... if they were to do that, I'm pretty sure we'd have 0.25 by now lmao. Only reasons why they really did it that was mass arguments and the holidays were coming up imo
Yeah they did, although I can't seem to be able to find it. There are some modders who managed to integrate hybrid systems in the game (mainly in the ETK 800-Series, the Wentward DT40-L and, most recently, the Capsule bus which is a mod by itself) but the integration still has some problems. --- Post updated --- Seems about right.
I think it's a V8, and from the size it's clearly a sports car rather than a proper supercar. I wonder why they bothered to make this instead of improving the SBR4, unless it's a paid add-on to add some more variety to the same niche
i mean judging from the concept art, the bodystyle and layout, id say this is quite a bit more than a simple sports car
The new Civetta is a V8* MR 2-seater, the SBR is a flat-4 RR/R4 4-seater, they're not that similar *probably
No, it's still a sports car, on the edge of the category but still a sports car. I always thought this car had the look of the c8 Corvette - which also isn't a super car, something in-between just like the civetta.
It's SBR4-sized, probably has similar power output to the SBR4's top configs and maybe handles a bit better, so again it would make more sense as a paid DLC add-on if it really is going to fit in the same niche
Maybe it's the perspective, or maybe i'm an idiot, but to me, it doesn't look like a V10 would fit in the car
I am frankly honored, as an American, that you consider the Corvette a supercar On topic: It looks more Alfa 4C (that somehow got a V8) than Ferrari anything to me, and nobody calls the 4C a supercar. I'm not upset, but I will be if they try to pass this off as filling the modern supercar role in BeamNG
