Re: Bruckell Moonhawk Sedan & Station wagon I am looking forward to the release of this, it is looking very nicve and well put together so far. Great work.
Re: Bruckell Moonhawk Sedan & Station wagon Working Rotators AR162B I suggest setting your BeamDeform lower/higher to prevent this from happening.
Re: Bruckell Moonhawk Sedan & Station wagon Oh yeah good point actually... Just saw someone else had it and instantly in my head was like how???
Re: Bruckell Moonhawk Sedan & Station wagon Nice! That was quick! Looks good, what was the problemm with the deformgroups? To all others; Chris kindly helped me out getting the cop lights to function ;-)
Re: Bruckell Moonhawk Sedan & Station wagon The rotators float when the lightbar is from the roof after a crash, Adding a DeformGroup so the rotators break after a crash fixes it. EDIT Still need to do some work on the TearDrop Light.
Re: Bruckell Moonhawk Sedan & Station wagon Higher deform values will make the car and it's parts more resistant to damage in low level collisions. Deform values also dictate when doors, trunks, hoods and hatches fly open.
Re: Bruckell Moonhawk Sedan & Station wagon Hey guys, a small progress update. Finished almost all additional parts n/b, I'm currently modding the hardest part; the station n/b. I already changed/improved it many times, I think it's quite nice at the moment. The trunk and glass parts aren't finished yet, it should be a bit weaker without. Did some crash testing and here are the results; Driving over the largest grid map ramp at 60mph and landing (almost) horizontally (1 screenshot) Rear ending it with another Moonhawk at 85mph (2 screenshots, the station had hump plates and a rear bumper) Rear ending it a 40 mph (2 screenshots, station had hump plates and a rear bumper) Rear ending it a 20 mph (1 screenshot, station had hump plates and a rear bumper) Rear ending it a 20 mph (1 screenshot, station had hump plates but no rear bumper) Rear ending it a 20 mph (1 screenshot, station had no hump plates and no rear bumper) What do you guys think?
Re: Bruckell Moonhawk Sedan & Station wagon The wagon looks sick man. Did you run kickers off the fire wall to the frame?
Re: Bruckell Moonhawk Sedan & Station wagon There's still some work to do, like fixing the col-tri's... Thanks! But what do you mean? Also, does anybody know how to make the program understand there's a hinge? For the station's trunk I used the original left door n/b and modded it, it behaves like it should except it won't break when the 'break hinge' button is pressed.
Re: Bruckell Moonhawk Sedan & Station wagon In a lot of shows, if you can run hump plates around here, kickers are allowed, it's basically just rerod that runs from the fire wall to the frame to keep it from dumping at the four wall, and it will want to bend up in front of the a-arms
Re: Bruckell Moonhawk Sedan & Station wagon Like from the upper side of the firewall to the frame at the suspension hard points? The engine 'cage' for the race edition has something like that, but it probably isn't allowed in a derby (?) Also, do derby cars still have their front inner fenders?
Re: Bruckell Moonhawk Sedan & Station wagon As far as adding steel and body parts, it all depends on the class you run, bone stock is bone stock, stock is when you get into kickers and hump plates, and semi stock or mod class is like full weld, never bend. Inner fenders are generally svrewed or bolted to the frame and firewall. ... to hide cheated frames lol
Re: Bruckell Moonhawk Sedan & Station wagon That is really nice. You are continuing to add some really neat stuff.
Re: Bruckell Moonhawk Sedan & Station wagon By the way, you're doing a hell of a job adding authenticity to your mods. Good work man.
