So i wanna recreate my real life car in BeamNG, im thinking of buying the textures for it online, but I don't know much about modding tho, so I was thinking, how about making a meshslap then slowly adapting it to the textures, but I don't know how to, can anyone tell me how to make a meshslap? Oh and the car I'm trying to make is a 2007 Suzuki Swift, i think i could use the covet as the base of the car.
What do you mean, buy the textures online ? You mean model right ? As a start you should probably do a meshslap BUT try and edit the jbeam to fit the shape and the weight of the car.
You could buy one off a CAD site, but those models are often high poly and would make the game lag and spike a lot in crashes, etc. Or you could rip a model off of forza, like the defender of jorgepinto. It's still a bit high poly but it's better and free.
You gotta extract them from the game itself or find them online. Oh, and i don't think that's extremly legal, but seeing all those forza meshslaps you should be fine.
in most cases even if you buy a copy of the game, it's still not legal to rip or use their meshes. i'd say the best thing to do is to model it from scratch, either using blueprints and reference photos, or if you can find an existing model, effectively tracing over the that, since in its existing form it'll probably be too high poly anyway.
Right now im searching the internet for the models of a suzuki swift --- Post updated --- I FOUND ONE! WITH A INTERIOR --- Post updated --- 3 i downloaded this file, and then opened it, i see this stuff, now how do i port the folder to blender?
i just imported the model, got excited, then realized the model dosent have a interior- looks like gotta go hunting for more models.
