the melting pot of beamng society sometimes it pays off though --- Post updated --- its like 7pm in germany right now, so i dont know
I think it would be interesting to get a rotary engine at some point in the game. It would be cool to use in the pigeion or wigeion. Currently there is no other car that would suit a rotary engine.
the rear flare area of the covet rally car looks really similar to that mid engined civic, which was a v6. OT: is there a thread for the new C1 line map that Car_Killer was working on?
oh god we have fallen to the point of rotary engines dear lord please give us a teaser, even if it is simply one of the devs saying 'covet is coming' that will be enough
i feel like the 200bx is too big in a way. Rotary engines are small so keeping that in mind it could suit a car like the fb rx7 --- Post updated --- btw are there any rotary engine mods for anything?
btw are there any thats pretty good idea tbh. didnt think of that one. I feel like the car just needs a remaster for these to be added. It would be cool to see a coupe model at some point aswell.
Another thought about career mode- how will persistent damage work? The save/load damage function thru the radial menu is obviously intended for persistent damage in career mode, but it doesn’t work if you change a part and then try to load the damage again. That makes me wonder- will we get dynamic damage repair? Will it be possible to replace some parts while others stay damaged? For instance, if I break my front suspension and my front bumper going over a jump in a rally, will it be possible to put in new front suspension but keep the smashed bumper?
I think they would just make new damage saving functionality from scratch instead of reusing that buggy code. And it would be REALLY tricky to make a functionality of being able to fix 1 part but leave the others broken. Because when parts bend even a little bit, they can start clipping with each other when one of them is straightened and the other not. There would need to be a system to detect what you can safely repair alone and what not.
i have a feeling it will end up being something like the damage system from SLRR, where parts would just be replaced/fall off/repaired based on their damage and such. It would likely also have a write off feature, in which when damage costs either exceede the worth of the vehicle, or have too much damage, just cannot be repaired and can be sold for scrap, or parted out
what if saving damage in configs becomes possible like you save a config in a super damaged state, and once you load it in, it's got the same damage more of an idea, but related to the topic of speculation
what if the 'covet' teaser is just a souped up grand marshal? from what ive seen all the lines match up perfectly, except the one right above the edges of the grille which on the teaser photo seems a bit sharper
Why would they tease covet sketches and everything if it's a gm in the end ? Plus the shape of those headlight is clearly covet.
